Online classes offer students or anyone who chooses to take a class the chance to build their own schedule. For some students it is easier to take an online class than to attend a class in person. Online classes are a choice that everyone have but that does not mean that everyone should take it like Tom Snyder from the Ivy Tech Community College states in his article, “Students need to determine if online learning is an option for them because not everyone does well with this type of study” (Snyder). Going to class and sitting in front of a computer are two different environments. Like a professor of Duke University, Dan Ariely, states in the article, “The Plusses and Pitfalls of Teaching Online”: the problem is that my imagination is limited in many ways, which means that every time I underestimate the clarity, the lecture doesn’t live up to what I could do if I had students in front of me giving me real-time feedback, helping me tailor it to their needs.
