Most people all around the world are very aware and have tons of knowledge about the Olympics today. It is watched in plenty of households every year to support the many countries included in the intriguing games. Have you ever thought about when, where, or even how the Olympics were created? Well, there are many baffling differences and yet a few similarities from the games now and then. Imagine the Olympics with fewer events, women forbidden in taking part in anything to deal with it, or competing nude! It 's crazy to think how much it all has changed from when it began so long ago.
The Olympics was believed to have come about around 776 B.C. and taking place in Olympia, Greece. Although some thought it had been started years and years ago. Also they both receive an award for their outstanding performances during the events. Another similarity is that they are held every four years which is very interesting that that schedule has stuck with us for all this time. During the Olympics they did have some comparable events such as, wrestling, racing, and modernly know as field events. The biggest similarity between the two is that the people involved in the games are hard working, dedicated, and have amazing athletic ability.
The Olympics have obviously evolved greatly from when they started the 100s and 100s of years ago, Even with so many differences between the two there are similarities that bring the different types of events together. Olympics will continue to be well-known and notorious events to many people across the world.
