Currently in America child obesity is a growing problem, that more and more children
face everyday. Child Obesity is not something to take lightly, it is an unhealthy lifestyle that
kids, and parents are choosing to live. Obesity today is an ongoing challenge, and there are many
solutions and interventions that families can look into, to help their children overcome this
obstacle.
A young writer named Jarod Kintz once said, “If two heads are better than one, then what
about double chins? On that note, I will help myself to seconds.” Today 's generation does not
have a sense of clue of when to portion control their meals. People feel the need to feed
themselves to a point, where they are too full to walk. Perhaps, Americans do not realize the
amount of food they are consuming on a daily bases until they finally notice some sort of change,
which could be physically or mentally. The idea of seeing fast food restaurants at every corner of
an intersection does not seem to benefit the idea of portion control but only increase the risk of
obesity. Obesity in America is increasing at a constant rate whereas childhood obesity impacts a
number of problems such as health issues, low self­esteem, and the lack of physical involvement
in any sort of activity or sport.

On account of Obesity in America, nearly one out of three kids in the United States is
now considered overweight and face life threatening health issues. Author John Donvan and
Melia Patria talk about second grader Nicholas Reeves as he is battling a variety of health
problems. Experts in the Pediatric Weight Management in the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s

growing and developing more advanced laptops, phones, video game consoles, and more.
Whereas for eating healthier you can still watch TV while still maintaining a balanced diet.
Therefore, healthier eating is more effective in solving childhood obesity since eating is a routine
thing and can over time become a lifestyle.
In conclusion, eating healthier is by far a more effective solution as opposed to
incorporating more physical activity, decreasing the amount of time spent watching TV, and
proportion eating. The healthy eating solution has a ton of support groups as well as enough
funding to keep promoting for new programs to help these children gain a better understanding
in healthy eating. As well as to teaching parents how healthy eating can help their kids in a
number of ways.
