Obesity is a growing problem in the US, its health effect is so deep and vast that they have long lasting impact on communities, on the whole nation and most particularly, on individual, today and in future generation. The Center for Disease control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that approximately 112,000 deaths are associated with obesity, each year in the US (Su-Hsin, Pollack, and Colditz 1). Some of the causes of the obesity are lack of exercise, eating fatty food, culture, socioeconomic standard and hormones. Obesity is one of the reasons for many chronic diseases. Hence, it is very crucial to rule out each individual cause and step ahead for its management and prevention.
Due to increase volume of population and the highly busy schedule of people, fast foods and overeating has become like a norm of a modern life or you can say it has become a ‘’tradition’’. High amount of calories fast food, carbohydrate drinks and much junk food keeps putting weight....

Although the ways to gain weight are vary; the ways of preventing and managing are numerous. It is on us how well we do it to overcome obesity. Furthermore, it is important to know the facts and consequences behind obesity because with our negligence of eating behavior and inadequate exercising, we are putting more weight on. We are inviting so many consequences related to obesity toward us like, chronic diseases, economic problem due to life time medical cost, decreasing life expectancy and increasing mortality rate as well as mental stress. Simply, maintaining healthy diets, doing physical activities and tracking your weight frequently can give us obese free life and helps to reduce it. In addition, we can also live free of many chronic and fatel diseases associated with obesity and can live a healthy life with long life expectancy.
