Throughout the progression of time, there has been a constant influx in weight amongst individuals. Historically, individuals lived healthy lives, which was evident in the manner in which they ate and the daily labor brought about by a different era of time and living. Within society today, nutrition and physical activity are not of the same importance as historically it was to so many individuals. The research question of appeal is does physical activity and nutrition play a key component in maintaining a healthy lifestyle? The independent variable, is the amount of healthy nutrients and physical activity decrease the likelihood of obesity and weight related health conditions and increase overall healthy living lifestyles. The dependent variable, ever present, is that nutrition and physical activity are leading factors to an overall healthy lifestyle. NUTRITION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY 3 Literature Review 1. Sample and Delivery The sampling methods employed by the research team for the chosen topic of nutrition and physical activity was gathered thru surveys conducted and processed using the hints database (Health Information National Trends Survey). By gathering information based solely upon obtained responses, allowing for researchers to not only project, but also make educated guesses base upon the information received and proven to hold true. 2. Variables Hypothesized response is: (1) The null hypothesis claims, individuals who do not eat enough daily fruits and vegetables to maintain good health will also lack physical activity as part of their daily routine.
