Nuclear weapons possess enormous destruction power from their nuclear fission. They have only been used twice in this history of mankind and that was during World War II in the Pacific campaign, instead of invading Japans mainland President Truman decided to drop atomic bombs on two Japanese cities and ask for their surrender. After the second bomb was dropped Japan had surrendered and the war was over. Nuclear weapons have in pros and cons, but without nuclear bombs we wouldn’t know nearly as much as we know today about radiation and things of that nature.
