Initially, the same mass of nuclear fuel is more efficient than traditional fuel. In order to meet the needs of a growing world population with the rising living standards that providing enough energy will be a huge challenge. One of most of important aspects of nuclear power is that nuclear power is highly efficient. Compare the nuclear energy with the other forms of energy like natural gas, coal and oil, the nuclear energy have a higher energy densities than fossil fuels. The range of energy output per unit of mass is similar in most fossil fuels but nuclear energy is almost a million times more efficient. The reasons for this is that nuclear power is primarily produced from nuclear reaction but other energy like fossil fuel and wind energy they are using the chemical reaction or converting the mechanical energy into the useful energy. For example before the Fukushima disaster, the country generated 30% of their electricity from nuclear and have plane to increase to 40%. In Finland they only have four nuclear reactors but they provide nearly a third of Finland’s electricity.
