In the 1930s, scientists in Germany and the United States finally found a solution to bigger and better explosions for the battles in World War II. That solution became to be known as nuclear bombs. These weapons were created by the discovery of nuclear fission; completed “when the nucleus of an atom is split apart into two smaller nuclei” (Nuclear Energy). Around the world, scientists took the miniscule phase when the nucleus splits into two and the heat involved in the process and mixed water into the formula; this forms steam which creates enough pressure to turn turbines for the production of the electricity. Before then, the only mechanism that could create enough energy flow to bring about electricity was the use of fossil fuels. People around the world thought that by using nuclear energy, it could improve the living conditions of lives and reserve the rapidly decreasing fossil fuels. Recently, there is a controversy that nuclear energy is not as safe as it has been hyped up to be. This has caused many severe health conditions and harsher environmental conditions.
Before explaining the disagreements in nuclear power, there must be a follow-up in the background information of the structure in nuclear power plants to understand the importance of the engineering involved to keep everything safe. Building a nuclear power plant has a mandatory abundance amount of money to make sure there is no leaking of radioactive material to the outside of the reactor buildings. So as a result, there has to be multiple protective layers to surround the activity that proceeds in the course of creating the electricity. ... There are continuing problems with keeping a well structured reactor building, but have not yet succeeded due to the unending problems that eventually catch up with society. Then the breakthrough complications are too advanced and the world cannot control with the knowledge that scientists and engineers have this present day that it branches out to the atmosphere around it. Nature is then left in the dust after meltdowns or explosions of nuclear plants just to suffer the consequences of tumors, changing of mood behaviors, and having to adapt to the strange and unfamiliar new place they call home. Then the human population will have to do the same thing with the future changes in their bodies and new cancers that will be introduced into the world because of radiation. Sooner or later the Earth that everyone lives on will not be so viable anymore and for what reasons?
