People who love violence tend to be desensitized to acts of violence, but violent movies don 't necessarily promote violence. Furthermore, Noah Gittell in his article “Not All Movie Violence Is Created Equal”, which is written just one day after the tragedy in Newton unfold, affirm that real life violence “can’t be relegated to having a single cause, and if it can, that cause certainly isn’t a work of entertainment.” (Gittell).
