God said "Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."(Jeremiah 1:5)

In the mist of the 1960s and early 1970s, the United States began to abolish their bans on abortion. In Roe v. Wade, the U.S Supreme Court legalized abortion throughout the United States. As freelance writer Tom Head, for those who believe that the human life begins at conception, the decision of the Supreme Court and state law repealing proceeding seemed cold and barbaric. Considering this issue of abortion, one question always rules: Why is abortion legal in the first place?

In the case of Roe v. Wade, the answer narrows down to one of our personal rights versus legitimate government interest. This legitimate interest concentrates on protecting the life of an embryo or fetus, but they endure controvert of rights until they manage to determine that they are a human person. The government is interested in protecting the potential rights of a fetus to live, but the fetus itself does not have rights prior to the viability threshold. The court did not state that viability is or isn't when the fetus becomes a person, they only stated that it's the earliest point at which it can be proven that the fetus contains capacity to have a meaningful life as a person. Even though they already established the embryo is a human being. It becomes confusing because they are saying that life does start at conception, but they don't consider the child alive or not human yet.

If a woman refuses to have or raise a child, there are several ways to prevent it. I understand why women don't want to have children at some point of their life. For those who can’t afford it, adoption is a good alternative for abortion. Some wish to abort because of the reason of incest. Which is even more astray because why would you have sexual encounters with a family member in the first place? Another reason why abortion is wrong it’s that many Americans who pay taxes refer themselves as anti-abortionist. It happens to be morally wrong to use tax money to fund abortion.

I think a pregnant women needs to consider their child a blessing no matter how it was conceived. I believe every life has a purpose and a meaning. Everything happens for a reason. Everyone needs the choice to have a life.
