I dared not make a sound as I hid behind the dusty, diminutive dresser watching the events play before my eyes. He roamed the room still unaware of my hiding spot. How long would this go on for? No one knew.
I sat on the hot tiled floor wanting to scream and run, but there was no chance that I’d get out of this living hell in one piece. I watched him push aside chairs as he moved closer and closer to the very dresser I was hiding behind. Right as he reached to shove it aside, sure to reveal me in my terrified stance, I caught a flicker of movement just outside the door. He had too since he immediately pulled away from the dresser and briskly headed out the door bewildered since he was so sure he had seen me rush into this room, but no other living being was in the building so he assured himself that he had been mistaken.
With him gone for now I could finally breathe properly and tried very unsuccessfully to calm my nerves down with a breathing exercise I used before every quiz, test, or exam.
“Breathe in breathe out in out in out.” I chanted with no more volume then a whisper.
A few minutes passed by with no sign of his return. I though back to a few hours ago when my curiosity, which was of any average fifteen year old girl, got me into this whole fiasco in the first place.

I was out for my evening jog around the block, today without my father, since he had to stay late at his office. So in a very long time my thirteen year old brother and I were left home alone for the evening since the death of our mother.
My mother had passed away two years ago due to Breast Cancer and it was only on very rare occasions that my father was not home to attend to our every needs.
Cameron was being a dweeb as usual and was ...

...ut found no signs of Mr. James or the stranger in sight. But I was met with the horrendous cadaver of Mr. James at the end of the staircase.
Next thing I knew I was laying on the floor beside him with blood oozing from my slender neck staring into the faces of the Johnson twins.
Everything went dark, my life flashed before my eyes and I was not pleased with what I saw. I had judged the world with tainted eyes. Yet I slowly made my way up to heaven and took a seat beside my mother.

The following day the police was called by my father who was concerned about my whereabouts. probing they found no culprit, only the corpses of Margie, Mr. James, and me untouched after the Johnsons fled to find themselves a new set of victims in another part of town. What they wanted? Why they did this? No one knew.
From the ground around and under the house they excavated twenty-nine separate bodies of young men of various states of decomposition. More where recovered from the river, and John Wayne Gacy was charged with first-degree murder. Th...
He had been found a few weeks after the first murder, on March 2. On that occasion, the body was not found out in the street, but in his home by his maid. The report indicated signs of forced entry, and the body had been discovered propped up in an armchair. The victims’ eyes had been removed, and his body disembowelled. The amount of blood at the scene had been restricted to the immediate vicinity of the chair.
I walked into the room on New Year’s Day and felt a sudden twinge of fear. My eyes already hurt from the tears I had shed and those tears would not stop even then the last viewing before we had to leave. She lay quietly on the bed with her face as void of emotion as a sheet of paper without the writing. Slowly, I approached the cold lifeless form that was once my mother and gave her a goodbye kiss.
I didn’t know where exactly I was going. But I didn’t care. I walked aimlessly in search of shelter, a place where I could seek refuge. Hours went by, and I was losing hope. When out of the corner of my eye, through the distant, dense foliage. I noticed what could have been salvation. I was fatigued and in a feeble state, was I hallucinating? Or was this real? I stumbled through the valley, my eyes fixated on the dwelling ahead. Much to my delight it was very real. I arrived at the cabin and surveyed the surroundings. The shack itself was isolated, old and tattered, as if unattended to for an eternity. I knocked on the door, and suddenly became overwhelmed by a supernatural feeling. I could hear frantic rumbling and murmuring inside, evidently the occupant wasn’t expecting a visitor. I waited a while longer, and finally the door creaked open and I was greeted by three of the utmost repulsive looking creatures I had ever had the displeasure of laying my eyes on. As disgusted as I was, I was in no position to turn away, I needed their help. They welcomed me into their abode and provided me with nourishment and directions on how to return
The boy reached for his blanket and covered half of his face in fear. The footsteps continued, getting louder every step. “It’s just mom and dad” he told himself. “No need to worry.” Footsteps were heard getting closer and closer to his room door. LOUD but slow, fear was uprising into the young boy’s heart. Suddenly they stopped and started going away.
he wondered. Lightning started to roar and it started to rain heavily. When he thought things couldn’t get creepier he heard creak it was the mill starting up. His mind was racing with thoughts on what to do. Walter heard three faint knocks and then a woman’s voice saying “Walter come out I see you.” This freaked Walter so much he screamed “HELP”. Walter knew he was the only one for a few miles. Walter opened the door as if you didn’t know who was at your door. Then he ran down the stairs as he was running he felt a tug on his shirt. Walter didn’t care and kept running as fast as he
The family was strewn around the floor. Juice was running down the hallway. Police cars were lined up, blocking the streets. The police were surrounding the bodies while the chief examined the room. The room they were in looked as if a tornado had come through. The glass sliding door was shattered from a chair that was thrown through. A coffee table was furred on its side, the lamp that was on it shattered. The walls had several holes in them. One of the smaller holes had a leg of a coffee table stuck in it. When he was done examining the room he went to the bodies. As he was walking the others made sure to make a path for him. When he got to the bodies he stopped. He started to examine them. There were teeth marks on all the bodies. There
Over the next few days, we took it easy. I went back to work. My mom was getting worse as each day went on with a few good days in between, of course. We ended up moving my niece Lexi’s birthday up a few days because we wanted to make sure my mom would be there for it. She, my mom, couldn’t talk as well anymore, but she made the effort to sing for her granddaughter. The day before my niece’s actual birthday, my mom passed away. Her wish had come true, too. She had wanted my dad to be the only one in the room when she went.
It necessarily wasn't important things, but little things in life that my dad would just help me with when he was around. Without my dad i had to practice baseball on my own, i had to do my homework on my own. Things like that my dad was always there to help me for i had to figure out by myself now. My mom and sibling were to busy with their own problems it was hard for them to help me as well.
At last I arrived, unmolested except for the rain, at the hefty decaying doors of the church. I pushed the door and it obediently opened, then I slid inside closing it surreptitiously behind me. No point in alerting others to my presence. As I turned my shoulder, my gaze was held by the magnificence of the architecture. It never fails to move me. My eyes begin by looking at the ceiling, and then they roam from side to side and finally along the walls drinking in the beauty of the stained glass windows which glowed in the candle light, finally coming to rest on the altar. I slipped into the nearest pew with the intention of saying a few prayers when I noticed him. His eyes were fixated upon me. I stared at the floor, but it was too late, because I was already aware that he wasn’t one of the priests, his clothes were all wrong and his face! It seemed lifeless. I felt so heavy. My eyes didn’t want to obey me. Neither did my legs. Too late I realised the danger! Mesmerised, I fell asleep.
a ghost. We find out that no ghost is present in the room and there
My father has been a great influence in my life. The reason why my dad has influenced me is because he was able to raise me. My dad raised my two brothers and me by himself because my mother passed away. The day when my mother passed away was hardest time for us all. My brother and I were in waiting room with a friend of my Dad’s. My Dad came out of my mother’s room with worried face. My Dad told us that mother was not feeling well, so we
My dad got deployed (for the army), he had to leave me, leave my family and leave our home. (Repetition for Effect)
“Come over here, Buddy We are going on an adventure!” Excited she ran after me. It was as if she could actually understand me. I took one final look into my hideout before I shut the door, for wherever I was going or headed, I surely wasn’t going to be returning. Even though I spent most of my time down there being afraid of dying, it was the only safe place I could go and I will miss that place. It had been my home for so long, and probably was where I would have been spending the rest of my short lived life if I hadn’t felt this sense of uneasiness. I sighed deeply, and began shutting the door. “Calm down, Buddy”, I muttered as he was barking at something. He had a tendency to bark at objects and things that actually never existed, so I didn’t think twice about it. However when I turned around, I laid my eyes on something, or rather yet someone.
My heart was simply ripped apart. I could not believe it at first, but I knew I had to. After all these wonderful years and enthralling moments, I finally have to face God's greatest challenge. My mind wasn't as messy as before anymore and I couldn't even think of what to think. It seemed as if I had nothing to worry about, nothing to do, nothing to say. I was trapped inside this room waiting for the Grim Reaper to reap my innocent soul.
