Reflector Reflector is an app that allows for Air Play mirroring to a computer. This is an app that I have used in order to do presentation in certain applications on my iPad for classes and has become very useful. We have become so accustomed to wires being everywhere, that it is nice to have a break from such a disorderly setting. Reflector is an application that can be used easily in both school, and a business setting. Its ease of use and simple interface makes it the perfect app for presentations. Reflector is an application that is created primarily for mobile, iOS devices. Reflector, in regards to the iPad is compatible with iPad 2 through the iPad Air along with the first generation iPad Mini and the iPad Mini with Retina display. Also, the software is compatible with iPhone 4S through the iPhone 5S and the iPod Touch 5th generation, though all of these devices must have iOS 7 or later. Now, Reflector supports both Mac and Windows PCs. However, in order to run this app on a Mac you must be running OSX 10.6.7 or later and for Windows you must be running Windows XP or lat...
...change the way that both amateurs as well as seasoned musicians will be able to create music. Demonstrated on a 55 inch monitor, Zimmerman teased the audience with the abilities of his program, said to be available on the Surface tablets (Examiner, 2013).
Reflection, as explained by Moon (2013), is the process of looking back on an event or experience and thinking about it and learning from it. Reflection, which is learning through experience, is not a new concept. As humans, we naturally reflect on our surroundings and experiences on a day to day basis in order to make sense of them. (Norman, Vleuten and Newble, 2002). In a professional context, reflation is vital for a practitioner to learn and improve their practice. By using their own experiences, practitioners are able to analysis, and in turn, adapt or improve specific areas of practice
My reflection report will be on how to teach a clinical skill, which could be done either by the simulation training “workshops” or in hospital settings. Any reflection report is basically an evaluation of a person’s records of certain findings about certain topic or experience
Reflection is turning experience into Learning. Reflection is a conscious, dynamic process of thinking about, analysing, and learning from an experience that gives insight into self and practice.
The story of augmented reality goes back as far as the early 1900’s when L. Frank Baum wrote the “novel The Master Key. Printed in 1901, the book mentions a “character marker” set of electronic spectacles that when you view someone through them would show a letter on that person’s forehead regarding their character.” However, the first invention to use some type of augmented reality would not come along till 1968 and Ivan E. Sutherland and his head mounted three dimensional display. “The fundamental idea behind the three-dimensional display is to present the user with a perspective image which changes as he moves.” This would allow for an illusion of 3D on a 2D plane. This however, wasn’t true augmented reality; yes this augmented what you see on a screen and gave an illusion of 3 dimensions, but it does not overlay actual reality with com...
Reflection is a process of reviewing an experience of practice in order to describe, analyse, evaluate and so inform learning about practice.
Reflection is a process that begins with looking back on a situation thinking about it, learning from it and then using the new knowledge to help you in similar situations in the future. We need to evaluate through reflection to examine whether change is needed. We can then decide what action is needed and what we would do the next time we are faced with a similar situation. It might not necessarily be something you have done wrong, it may well be you were happy with the outcome of a situation you had some input into and would do again. It may have been something you did differently that had a positive result and
... example once the nurse goes to the hospital she is confident that whatever she is doing it is correct and she is on the right track, without asking anyone. The reflective tool helps the nurse a lot during clinical time.
Reflection is a key part of our personal development plan that is significant from both academic and employment perspectives. It investigates and someway measures our present level of skills and knowledge by looking back to reflect our latest performance and monitoring future improvements (Gallagher K., 2013, p. 23-24).
This research looks into the potential of augmented reality and more specifically spatial augmented reality. The purpose of this paper is to give the reader an understanding of what as well as where augmented reality has come from and how it is being used today. The paper will examine into different examples of augmented reality and how the term is not specific to a certain technology.
The ability to superimpose real-time computer animation onto the real world is commonly known as augmented reality (AR). AR differs from virtual reality where it requires the real time markers for it to function. It allows merging of virtual information with the real environment to provide users with more immersive interaction with their surroundings. AR provides new experience of the real world that is unlike another computer animation that draws the users away from the real world and onto the screen (Hainich & Rolf, 2006).
Technology has changed the way we communicate through our smart phones. These cordless phones have a variety of apps used to play games, maps, as musical players, alarm clocks, and even maintaining a healthy diet. Having all these fun things put all into one handheld device can come in handy in many situations, but it can put strain on your eyes and cause you to be something called isolated away from the world. It can also be distracting while sitting in a class; you pull your phone out and begin playing these games or amuse yourself with the collection of apps. I remember the first time get...
Have you ever asked yourself, what the world would be like if there weren’t any mobile applications. Society is impacted by the new development in technology daily. Someone is always claiming that their inventions will revolutionize the world, but no invention has had more success over the years, in the cellular world than mobile applications. People all around the world use millions to billions of applications daily for personal and business uses. For example, social networking which is use by all generations of people. It has an influence the way we purchase cell phones, in order to have the capability. With the creation of different smartphones and tablets, comes the demand for more mobile applications. This causes competition among application builders. Mobile applications are designed to its user making their experience less complicated. Mobile applications have their advantages and disadvantages, depending on its design and designer. They can be created to be very simple or complex, depending on its intended function. Has society benefited from the usages of mobile applications or is it just a distraction. What impact do mobile applications have on society.
