Neutrality Act and War in the United States

I have been against war since I can remember. I do not feel that there should be a need for war. Many innocent lives were lost during the war loosing innocent people could have been avoided by not entering war. In addition, I also feel that although American soldiers are trained well as they should be to protect us and our Country, I feel that they are not treated with the respect they deserve, and I also feel that they are underpaid. I think that a soldier should make the same if not more than a man on the field playing football and or baseball. In all reality, I truly enjoy sports, but what they get paid to throw a ball around is overrated especially when Soldiers are putting their lives on the line for our Country and for what is right, and only make about $10/hr. Talk about injustice. World War II was the harshest fight civilization had ever seen. Many innocent people were killed, and money and resources were wasted on nonsense. The number of innocent people that lost their lives was never calculated, but it was estimated that more than 60 million people decomposed. Could that have been avoided? The world was struggling, but we still had natural resources to maintain the way of life. However, Germany, Italy, and Japan relied on foreign trade for food and raw materials. If these countries were planning on surviving, they had to surpass other lands with valuable natural resources. The Germans had a very powerful leader named Adolf Hitler who was a greedy man who wanted everyone to be the same and to be the only leader in the world. Hitler had a lot of men who did the dirty work for him. The number ... ... middle of paper ... ...y into a war that we did not need to fight for dubious reasons that were eventually proved false. Iraq was not, as we were repeatedly told, developing weapons of mass destruction. This was false information provided by the Bush administration to justify a war that was not necessary. Furthermore, negotiation skills could have prevented the wars over the past decades to prevent loss of life. I may not always agree with how the government treats our society, but because of I am part of that society, I believe that no matter how I feel about the government, it is important to stay current with the news media, because at the end of the day it affects society in general.
