INTRODUCTION MARA Professional College Beranang (KPMB) was formerly known as MARA Institute of Commerce(IPM), which was established on May 1977. KPTM now located in Beranang Selangor that near the Mantin. KPMB have more than 30 staff and 2000 student. This college KPMB already have a network in the lab at level 2 but the network a lot of problem for example the cable is damage by the student there, and also the disorganized cable there. So the new network design has to implement in KPMB to ensure the computer in the lab has the perfect network connection. This project is implementing to all the lab at level 2 KPMB and it has 3 labs. PROBLEM STATEMENT Many computers in the lab not have good network connection, and some of the computer doesn’t have the network connection. This will make the student hard to find the information to finish the assignment and also to make a research for their studies. If the student wants to use the internet connection, they have to fine the computer that has the connection. And if there is none of the computer available, hey have to wait the other. Furthermore, the cables on the lab also have serious damage because the cable has not proper managed from previous setup. If there any problem to the connection, the problem can’t be trace easily. OBJECTIVES • To redesign the previous network design • To develop a network connection that work more better • To provide an easy way in monitoring their network performance and accessibility. SCOPE This pr... ... middle of paper ... ...nt of the college who are using the lab for daily use are important to make sure the solution for the problem can me determine. The stage of methodology is important to follow because each of the stage have different task to complete. The solution for all the lab problem is same because the lab has the old cabling design and it not well manages. Each of the lab has same size and that also make easier to design a network design for cabling for all the lab and replacement of the hard ware and also the arrangement of the computer. For the chosen hardware also important because the lab is for daily use and the hardware can overcome the network problem such as the slow connection. The hardware also meet the company budget that have low budget and in order to meet the company budget, the best hardware is the efficient hardware but have the best performance will low cost.
The data and information I have collected is directly from the team of Australian Hardware team so this information is valid enough to be used for research of the given
The scope of this project is not to provide wireless Internet to the cus-tomers, only to provide working access on employee
One of the most widely used technologies is the Internet, or also known as the World Wide Web. “In August 1981 about 200 computers hosted Web servers. By July 1998 there were over 36 million Web servers, that are hosts to approximately 150 million people” (Strauss). The Internet proves to be very beneficial to education, since students have unlimited access to millions of websites with tons of information. There are only so many newspapers, journals and magazines that you can find in libraries or subscribe to. Therefore, the Internet offers an unlimited pile of information that students can always have. Moreover, students are enriched with the most current information in any subject, along with regular updates. Students are able to use the Internet anytime of day, as long as they have a computer at hand. The research process will not have to end when the school day is over (Wissick, 82).
According to the modern way of life the need for computer in every work place and home is high which decreases even more the power of the customers. However, the switching costs are low (2.2)
The computing system and peripheral devices purchased by this user must be the latest technology in order for him to be successful in his current classes and the courses that he will require in the future. The ideal computer and software package for this person would include a fast processor with new word processing and desktop publishing software, advanced audio and video editing capabilities, and an impressive audio/ visual display with one of the latest video cards available. Also, it is required that the system is fast, efficient, easy to work with, and cost effective.
If a student can do their work as fast as a computer, then they don’t need the computer, it is better for them to work it out by themselves.
In addressing the problem, the proposed research will use the case study method to examine the plan, design, and implementation of WLAN technologies at Berean. At present, the non-wireless local area network (LAN) technologies employed by Berean include 10/100BaseT Ethernet at each desktop. Ethernet ports at the desktop are switch connected to an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) T1 backbone. Berean¡¦s one remote facility connects to the network using switched Frame Relay services along with Internet Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections.
The main concern about Computron is that if the bid of 1000X should not higher than 20% of least bid to get the contract. It is strongly recommended to get the bid for functioning of new plant. Various issues regarding cutting down prices, bidding high or low and its pros-cons, current market situation and the competitors is discussed here.

Local Area Networks also called LANs have been a major player in industrialization of computers. In the past 20 or so years the worlds industry has be invaded with new computer technology. It has made such an impact on the way we do business that it has become essential with an ever-growing need for improvement. LANs give an employer the ability to share information between computers with a simple relatively inexpensive system of network cards and software. It also lets the user or users share hardware such as Printers and scanners. The speed of access between the computers is lighting fast because the data has a short distance to cover. In most cases a LAN only occupies one or a group of buildings located next to each other. For larger area need there are several other types of networks such as the Internet.
On joining the college, I concentrated on acquiring knowledge not only through the classroom teaching materials, but also through the volumes of Computer related materials. In the process I have acquired in-depth knowledge in the fields of Database Management Systems, Data Mining and Data Warehousing, Software Engineering especially in the concepts related to process organization and responsibilities. I was also fascinated by the growth of Networking and Communication Technology and developed keen interest in the subjects such as Computer Networks, Data Communications and Network Protocols. The Operating systems lab and Computer Networks lab unleashed a relentless desire in me to excel at its usage and find innovative applications.
Based on my analysis of the findings, I will recommend the methods of connecting to Internet.
Technology has had a negative impact on education by causing distractions during class lectures and assignments. The over use of technology is leading to a loss in communication skills and troubles in reading. The use of technology causes many people to have the temptation for cheating in and out of classrooms, resulting in students not wanting to study. Not every student has the capability of connecting to the internet or have contact to technology. This creates difficulties for those students without connection to the internet to complete online assignments or have accesses to their school’s resources. Also, for online courses, students have to wait for an email response in order to get help or to understand a lecture that the professor is
Internet access in schools has experienced an extreme increase within the last decade. By the fall of the year 2000, 98% of the public schools throughout the United States reported to be connected to the Internet (NCES, 2000). This is a reported 63% increase since the year 1994. Also in 2000, the ratio of computers to students was one to six, an increase from the 1994 ratio of one computer for every eleven students (Mendels, 1999). Aside from having Internet access in school libraries and computer labs, the abundance in individual classrooms has dramatically increased. This allows for Internet learning to be more readily available to students on a daily basis. Statistically over 70% of schools have this access in at least one of their classrooms (Mendels, 1999).
Very early in my life I realised my penchant for engineering which made me take up diploma in electronics and communication right after school. The experience of studying in a prestigious institute like Vivekanand Education Society’s Polytechnic, Mumbai, acted as a web where engineering concepts gripped my mind. Subjects such as Computer fundamentals and Digital communications compelled me to dig deeper and explore more into this field. I ranked 2nd in the institute and 16th in the final academic year across the Maharashtra state, is a testimony to the fact that I strive to do my best at anything that I commit to. This helped me build a strong foundation which in turn opened the doors to Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, one of the premier institutes affiliated to Mumbai University, to pursue my degree in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering. My experience as an undergraduate student at this institute has played a vital role in shaping my interest towards networking. The rigorous curriculum ...
