Global Warming

Global warming is causing a negative effect on the whole planet and we all need to do something to stop it. The climate is changing frequently and is making the planet hotter in some parts and in other parts it's making it colder. There are two factors affecting global warming. The first types of factors are natural factors like changes in the solar output, changes in the earth's orbit, the green house effect and aerosols. The change in the solar output is the amount of energy radiating from the earth?s sun is not constant. The change of orbit of our planet affects where the sun?s energy is received on earth. Thus affecting the amount of energy that is reflected and absorbed on earth. The aerosols help shield us from the effects of global warming and that?s why it is sometimes referred as a global sunscreen. The aerosols cool earth by reflecting sunlight. With fewer aerosols, the effects of global warming will be felt more. The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere like water vapo...

Negative Effects of Global Warming on Planet Earth Essay

- Global warming refers to the increasing temperature of the earth’s atmosphere due to rises in CO2 and other pollutants, collectively referred to as greenhouse gases. This increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases is leading to climate changes experienced world-wide. The warming of the earth’s atmosphere has resulted in the rise of water temperatures in oceans and seas. The coral reef ecosystem is highly sensitive to even the smallest of changes in temperature. As sea temperatures rise, the corals pass their thermal thresholds and enter a state of stress....   [tags: temperature, ocean levels, gases]

Essay on The Effects Of Global Warming On The Environment

- As many people know the presence of man on the planet Earth for hundreds of years has greatly affected the atmosphere and climate of the planet, and usually for the worst. Climate change and pollution has plagued the human race for years. Scientists have confirmed that the climate is indeed getting warmer every year; this is a phenomena known as global warming and it has negative effects on the environment. Pollution which is also increasing because of the demanding needs of humans also has negatively affected the environment....   [tags: Carbon dioxide, Global warming, Greenhouse gas]

Global Warming Is A Global Issue Essay

- Many climate scientists, researchers, and environmentalists are expressing concerns about shifts in the overall climate of the earth. It is believed that a dramatically dangerous warming is taking place in the overall global climate, a problem that is referred to as "global warming”. Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of Earth’s climate system. This temperature rise is due to the damaging effects of deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels. It is our responsibility to preserve our planet and our way of living but in order to do that we need to act now....   [tags: Global warming, Carbon dioxide, Weather, Ocean]

Global Warming is Causing Climate Change Essay

- Global warming is the increase in the earth’s atmospheric temperature. Naturally occurring gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone and water vapor trap heat from the sun, preventing it from leaving the atmosphere. These naturally occurring gases along with human made hydro fluorocarbons (HFCs), per fluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) are collectively known as greenhouse gases. This essay will explain why global warming is fast becoming a cause for concern and why preventative measures are being taken....   [tags: Global Warming Essays]

Global Warming, or what has been called the Greenhouse effect, is the result of a fourfold ecological process. 1-Sunlight radiates from the sun, through space, to Earth’s atmosphere. 2- The sunlight enters the atmosphere and hits Earth. Some of it turns into heat energy in the form of infrared light. The heat gets absorbed by surrounding air and land, which in turn makes it warm....   [tags: Environment Global Warming Climate Change]
