Recommended: experiments during the holocaust
This report is over human experiments conducted by various governments over several decades. The governments involved include, but are not limited to, the Nazis, the soviets and even America. Some of these experiments that were tested on these people were very disgusting and extremely cruel.
The Nazis performed some of the most horrific experiments of anyone. The Auschwitz under the direction of Dr. Eduard wirths had inmates selected to certain experiments which were designed to help the Germans. The Nazis performed an experiment on twins in the camp to see if the eugenics and genetics affected their mood and or their attitude. The leader of this experiment was Dr. Josef Mengele, he has performed over 1,500 of these experiments on imprisoned twins, but there are some ups and downs about the experiment because there have only been fewer than 200 twins survived the study. The Luftwaffe conducted an experiment on how to treat hypothermia in the early 1940s. The way they conducted the experiment was they would fill a tank full of ice and water; they put the victim in it for up to three hours. During July 1942 to September 1943, some experiments would have pretty bad wounds on the subjects there would be victims infected with such as streptococcus, gas gangrene, and tetanus. The Nazis are a group that didn’t care about anyone but themselves,
There was a unit called unit 731 committed by the commander shiro Ishii and a couple of others under his command. The Nazis would deliberately infect prisoners with syphilis and gonorrhea via rape.
The soviets tested several deadly poisons on prisoners in the gulag like mustard gas, ricin, digitoxin and several others. The soviets wanted and tried hard to find a tasteless and...

...anged a lot over the past ten years much less or the past 70 years, but there is no explanation to why they just kept “testing” it on so many other people and it may have been an experiment but it was a failed experiment but one good thing is that there is not one existing file on project (MK-ULTRA).
The government has done some disturbing things in the past and it makes me wonder what our government really is. The real reason I wonder is because the drug (LSD) and (MK-ULTRA) were experimented less than 70 years ago. I honestly don’t understand what the government did that for; there is no real reason why anyone should have to go through that, that would be something I would never in my life time want to experience and I don’t think any other human being should have to either.

During the Holocaust, the Nazis carried out many unethical medical experiments on patients without regard for their survival. Prisoners were forced to be subjects in various studies against their will. The Nazis’ victims went through indescribable pain as they were forced through high-altitude, freezing, tuberculosis, sea water, sulfanilamide, poison, and transplant experiments. Through these tragic Holocaust experiments, scientists and doctors discovered treatments used today for high-altitude sickness, hypothermia, contagious diseases, dehydration, poisoning, and war wounds.
Thousands of individuals, including women and children, were murdered, stores and other properties were plundered and burned, and countless of women were raped . The Japanese government regarded sex as a way to keep the soldiers obedient and focused so rape was a device used to maintain good, Japanese warriors . Not only did human experimentation occur in German concentration camps, but also in Japanese prison camps. The 731 Unit conducted experiments dealing with plague, cholera, typhoid, frostbite, and gas gangrene . American prisoners of war were treated especially cruel during these human experiments. In one incident, an individual had his skull sliced open while Dr. Fukujiro placed a surgical knife inside of his skull cavity

Between 1939 and 1945, more than seventy medical research projects and medical experiments were conducted at Auschwitz and Dachau. (Auschwitz Medical Experimentation). Over two hundred doctors participated in such research projects and experiments, sentencing between 70,000 and 100,000 people, held against their will, to death through experimentation. These were mostly Jews, but also gypsies, homosexuals and other minorities. They were thought to be inferior to the human race. Such practices became widely accepted and embraced by the Germans, due to the Nazis propaganda. The experiments conducted were diverse, but could be categorized in three classes.
Many medical experiments went on during the holocaust, mostly in concentration camps. These subjects included Jews, Gypsies, twins, and political prisoners. The experiments included many of these people never survived many were killed for further examination. The Jewish people got the full wrath of the injections, inhumane surgeries, and other experimentations. Twins were also desirable in these experiments to show a controlled group. Gypsies and political prisoners were experimented with, because they were there for the Germans disposal. Thousands of people died in these horrible experiments. These experiments were performed to show how the Jewish race was inferior to the Aryan race.
Concerned about rumors of communist brainwashing of POWs during the Korean war, in April 1953 CIA Director Allen Dulles authorized the MKULTRA program, which would later become notorious for the unusual and sometimes inhumane tests that the CIA financed. Reviewing the experiments five years later, one secrecy-conscious CIA auditor wrote: “Precautions must be taken not only to protect operations from exposure to enemy forces but also to conceal these activities from the American public in general. The knowledge that the agency is engaging in unethical and illicit activities would have serious repercussions in political and diplomatic circles.”
In 1933 German politician Adolf Hitler led a genocide known as the Holocaust, which eventually led to “The Final Solution”, throughout this time over 6 million Jews were persecuted due to the fact that “The Nazi ideology was predicated on the concept of racial supremacy. At the top of the tree was the Aryan race; at the foot were the ‘untermenschen’: blacks, gypsies, homosexuals and Jews” (Bogod). During this time German doctors performed a number of unethical medical experiments in order to advance in medicine, these crimes were committed against individuals, without consent. Recently, I read Auschwitz: A Doctor’s Eyewitness Account, a novel written by Dr. Miklos Nyiszli, the information documented in the novel was difficult to digest due
Epstein shows the process that the majority of Jews were being put through, such as the medical examinations, medical experimentations, gas chambers and crematoriums. Medical examinations were used to determine if the Jews were healthy enough to work. Dr. Mengele used the Jews as “lab rats” and performed many experiments such as a myriad of drug testing and different surgeries. The gas chamber was a room where Jews were poisoned to death with a preparation of prussic acid, called Cyclo...
During world war 2, many jews were put in concentration camps. Some of which, were experimented on by the SS (stormfuhrer). These experiments were cruel, harsh, and performed on completely unwilling victims. Most of these experiments were performed with no numbing or pain killers. One of the most famous doctors to perform these was Dr. Josef Mengele. He did many experiments to try and find a way to sterilize the entire jewish race. What the SS did to the Jews during WW2 was unacceptable. There was no justification to what they did at all, even if some good did come out.
Along with Josef Mengele, other medical doctors joined the Nazi party and performed wicked medical experiments inside and outside concentration camps. Some other medical practitioners include Dr. Karl Brandt, Dr. Herta Oberheuser, Dr. Carl Clauberg, and Dr. Horst Schumann. These doctors not only performed experiments to help Germany’s military, they also experimented ways to advance their belief that the Aryan race is superior to all others. These doctors executed many unreasonable and vile experiments on the innocent victims of the Holocaust.
The Nazis technology, knowledge was too great to be fully destroyed, it was a race between the Soviets and the Americans. One of the most notorious scientists such as: Josef Mengele, Otto Von Bolschwing and Arthur Rudolph were instantly recruited in Washington DC. Advanced weapon and medical procedures that will later be adapted by the CIA alongside the forbidden knowledge that would lead to more notorious CIA operations. Officially, MK-Ultra was “shut down’ by 1973. Masked as “intelligence research” they secretly administrated LSD to the public and manipulated their mental states. The CIA’s ultimate goal was not only to get the information out of its subjects, but also to create brainwashed assassins, programmed to kill. This all originated from the Nazi top secret project “Monarch” in the early 1940s. After WWII the USA launched operation “Paperclip”. Recruiting 1,600 Nazi scientist in order to prevent their knowledge falling into Soviet hands, at the time the USA and the Soviet Union’s relationship had been on a thin line. The ex-scientist were offered sanctuary, documents/visas in exchange of their advanced
Which diseases went around? What were the experiments conducted? What did they do with the young children that weren’t able to work? Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was infiltrated with diseases, a place for human experimentation, and a horrific place for children.
The freezing / hypothermia experiments were conducted for the Nazi high command. The experiments were conducted on men to simulate the conditions the armies suffered on the Eastern Front. The German forces were ill prepared for the bitter cold. Thousands of German soldiers died of freezing or were debilitated by cold injuries. The experiments were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sigmund Rascher at Birkenau, Dachau and Auschwitz .The freezing experiments were divided into two parts. First, to establish how long it would take to lower the body temperature to death and second how to best resuscitate the frozen victim. The two main methods used to freeze the victim were to put the person in a icy vat of water or to put the victim outside naked in sub-zero temperatures. The icy vat method proved to be the fastest way to drop the body temperature. The selections were made of young healthly Jews or Russians. They were usually stripped naked and prepared for the experiment. A insulated probe which measured the drop in the body temperature was inserted into the rectum. The probe was held in place by a expandable metal ring which was adjusted to open inside the rectum to hold the probe firmly in place. The victim was then placed in the vat of cold water and started to freeze. It was learned that most victims lost consciousness and died when the body temperature dropped to 25 C.The second way to freeze a victim was to strap them to a stretcher and place them outside naked. The extreme winters of Auschwitz made a natural place for this experiment.
The Holocaust, the most famous of the three that I am comparing, was a tragedy and the number of deaths is just horrid to think about. When you think about medical experiments during this heinous time period, a name stands out. Josef Mengele. The name even sends shivers through me. If you do not know who he is, you are lucky. He, by himself, performed the most horrendous "experiments" on the helpless people that were his victims. These gruesome experiments fall into three categories: Military Research, Pharmaceutical Research, and Racially Motivated Research. Military research were what the Nazi doctors considered a “military necessity”. These inhumane acts included of freezing experiments where the defenseless prisoners were submerged into tanks of ice water for hours everyday and watched as they shivered to death, in order to discover how long German pilots that were shot down could survive the frigid waters of the North Sea. Another experiment was the high altitude experiments, where the victims were placed into a decompression chamber to simulate conditions of high altitudes, then...
