As “a bird may be known by its song”, so each country may be known by its Nation Brand. It means that each country has something very particular and special that characterizes only this country. I see Kazakhstan Nation Brand in the eyes of the citizen of the Republic, however, the foreigners’ perception of Kazakhstan Nation Brand should be also taken in account in order to understand what reputation Kazakhstan has in the world community. Many people abroad come to Kazakhstan for different purposes, so how do they see Kazakhstan and what influenced their perception of the country?
I had an opportunity to learn more about American perception of Kazakhstan from my cousin, who became a winner of the Future Leader Exchange Program, which gave her a chance to study in the high school in the USA for one year. She was very surprised when she knew that few Americans knew about Kazakhstan. The common question which she was always used to be asked was “Are you from the country of Borat?” and she was tired of persuading people that the film, which was shot in 2006 in Romania by the person who had never been to Kazakhstan, British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, was not authentic about Kazakhstan. It was just a fiction which created a negative image of Kazakhstan abroad. Fortunately, her peers and familiars, looking at her behavior and respected attitude to the USA started to realize that Kazakh people were very civilized and educated. Finally, many Americans understood that the movie was just a comedy to amuse people, but sometimes this amusement could bring negative consequences to the reputation of the country as a whole.
The image of every country plays a crucial role when talking about the brand of the country in the world community. It i...

To better understand the current situation, it is important to understand the relationship between Chechnya and Russia. Prior to 1994, Chechnya was a secular Muslim “state” within the former USSR and the Russian Federations. As the Russian Federation began to assume its standing in the place of the USSR, the former member states of the USSR pushed for various recognitions of independence within the proposed federative treaty. In March 1992, the Republic of Chechnya refused to sign the treaty and formally declared its independence from Moscow. Chechnya was the only entity to make this declaration and attempt at secession among Russia’s 89 republics and region. (6) In 1994, under the direction of then Russian President Boris Yeltsin, Chechnya’s independence aspirations were quashed when Russian forces attacked and effectively leveled Grozny, Chechnya’s capital city. The result was a truce, lasting from 1996-1999. During this timeframe, Chechen separatists began bombing various pro-Russian government and ...

History. In the North Caucasus, Chechens endured centuries of conquests by Russian, which they contended through resistance. In 1834, the Russians began their conquests of the North Caucasus and completed them in 1859 (“BBC News Timeline”, 2011). Chechens attempted to separate from Russia by establishing an autonomous region in 1922. This region later became the Chechen- Inguish Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1934 (2011). Then Stalin deported Chechens from Chechnya in 1944, because he believed the Chechens collaborated with the Germans (“Chechen Terrorism”). Stalin’s accusation epitomizes Gultung’s definition of cultural violence, as he justified deporting the Chechens with the accusation (Galtung, 1999). The deportations exemplify Burton’s definition of structural violence, a deprivation of needs caused by policies and institutions (Burton, 1997). As a result, the Chechens lost t...

Tourism industry has many pillars which makes it effective, destinations, products, infrastructure, tourist security, marketing and so on, one of them is re branding of a destination, which is considered immensely important to cater the needs and wants of tourist and destination itself. ...ew political system, take a course on social modernization and human capital development. In recent years, embarked on a systematic industrialization and the introduction of innovative technologies that will enhance the competitiveness of Kazakhstan's economy and its attractiveness to foreign investment. Also, significantly increased the role and responsibility of Kazakhstan in international affairs. Another important thing is in the implementation of strategic priorities given to international partners of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan fully relies on the support and cooperation for the implementation of these tasks, which will contribute to further development of cooperation between our countries and peoples. I hope that Kazakhstan will strongly commit further progressive development of democracy, with an emphasis on decentralization, anti-corruption, and gender equality.
Brand offers superior quality of the service to the customer’s expectation and satisfaction. Furthermore, people are much attached to the branded products, as majority of the people purchase the branded products with the belief that brands show their status and life style in the society. And also because they believe that they are purchasing quality when purchasing branded product. As duration of stay creates impact of brand on consumer behaviour, so verification of brand image, brand loyalty and personality should be considered as the significant factors in this regard. It can also be said that there is need to improve the product of a particular brand so that the impact of brand on consumer behaviour is more effective in comparison to the existing scenario. The study also reflects that the product features are very essential for consumers. Advertising plays a very important role in achieving growth for any product or brand. The right media for advertising products and services should be chosen to gain customer attention.
