I have found that it is true, at least in my case, that I see things in different ways the more I learn. Even my views on the concept of intelligence itself have gone through a revamped analysis on several occasions. One of those occasions was actually fairly recently and arose as an indirect result of my experiences in a short summer course that I completed for college credit. This course was over CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) Part Design and Sketcher. It was a computer-based class with a strong focus on engineering - a combination that suited me quite nicely. With every unit, we have labs where we need to solve a problem and prove the concepts we have learned using whatever we can find in the classroom. I’ve seen all of the different groups of students take completely different routes to solving the problems, and all of the groups come out successful. Even the teacher is fascinated by the different approaches he has seen in the class. All of these hypothetical problems and situations are just like the ones in real life. If I want to go to school, I can approach from either the East or the South. When typing these essays for my English 101 course, I have the option to structure them in a variety of ways. Should I compare things on a subject-by-subject basis, or point-by-point? The answer is that I can do it however I feel most comfortable with. Being able to recognize the approaches I can take when making decisions in life is empowering. As a result, I now pay much more attention to the way different people do different things. I try my best to learn from various methodologies. Engineering, the essence of problem solving, was the perfect subject to bring me to my realization, and I have a much stronger interest in the field now thanks to that
