There is nothing that could have prepared me mentally for this exercise, because I am a very sociable person.Nonethless, I found an environment that was very peaceful which was perfect. Calming myself helped me to quite my mind, this made all my attention shift to my most positive and beautiful thoughts and feelings. This here help me to put aside all my negative thoughts and feeling towards life.
On the first day of my experiment, I felt very excited about it because I have done this exercise before and felt a sense of relief, therefore I should be a walk in the park for, although there were just a few changes in my breathing pattern because I felt extremely anxious. I closed my eyes and focus my attention on the task at hand; then I felt a complete sense of difference in my breathing. The air felt different to the one I normally intake, it was fresh and felt like nothing I have experienced before. I was able to feel the motion of my chest as it rise and fall while I inhaled and exhaled.
The next day I was now in a frenzy because I was getting results. I sat in the exact place as I did prior, and repeated the same procedure as day one but now added taking my pulse rate.suprisely my pulse rate was very fast, although I was not engage in any stringent activity but the excitement of the exercise made my pulse race. It was at this point I felt a sense of belongingness and appreciation towards myself. It made me realize that being able to spend time with myself made me realize the meaning of life and where I want to be.
On the third day, I because aware of my surroundings, nature was the most wonderful thing that God has ever created. I was so attentive at this point, I heard the birds chipping, and even the bees buzzing...

I have learned that being in a quiet place and being able to focus my thoughts on only positive things contributed to a significant amount of positive results in my body; for instance my high blood pressure is at its lowest in years. Which according to (Selby 2004) “Your physical health is directly undermined by chronic negative thinking, which in turn provokes tensions and stress that can seriously disturb your immune system”. Therefore this new thoughts will contribute to my wellbeing both mentally and physically. My body feels like I am ten years younger, and at that age I did not feel the way I do now.
In conclusion,this exercise started out as a mere breathing of exhale and inhale.In the end it made tremendous positive contribution to my life.It made me find my inner peace and leanr to be contented.
