Teaching is a very important profession, Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Being a teacher is more than just helping a student learn information and excel in curriculum. While, these aspects are important, the character and morals a teacher can instill in a child has much greater value.
I was born in Akron, Ohio and have lived there ever since. Attending Liberty University in Virginia was the first time I have moved away from my home. For the most part I enjoy where I live even though sometimes life can be a bit boring. However, when I’m bored, my family is always there to keep me company. My mom, dad, sister, and brother are all very important to me and I love spending time with them. My dad has always said we are a family that sticks together like glue. This is true; I am always there for my family and I know they will always have my back. My sister and I are close in age; she is a junior in high school and my brother is the youngest, being a freshman in high school. My dad is a pastor at our church so I grew up in a very stable Christian home. My mom works as a preschool teacher which inspired me to go into the same career field of elementary education.
I’ve never been very musically talented or good at competitive sports. I also have never been an artist, but I do like to doodle and draw. I enjoy doing crafty activities so I would consider myself to be a creative person. This is one of the main reasons why I would enjoy teaching a younger group of kids. I would love using activities and games to help my students learn and having a creative personality gives me that advantage.
I enjoy traveling and I hope to one day visit all seven continents. So far...

The character and morals of an educator is what separates a good teacher from a great teacher. Having a passion for the profession is one of the most important things when it comes to choosing a major. Passion for the job and passion for the students is what should inspire a teacher to go to work each day. It is important to remember that as the head of the class, an instructor is also a role model and mentor for the students. Not only is a teacher sharing their knowledge with students, the students are influencing the teacher as well and that is what makes teaching such a unique profession.

... themselves, set their own vision and goals, are self accountable, responsible and grow from their own mistakes. A teacher’s passion, especially in high school, needs to be one of transforming her students.
...he future. This will ultimately develop students who have self-control and are empathetic citizens. Through my experience, I have learned that teaching is a profession that takes passion, courage, love, and an enjoyment of learning, if the teacher emulates these qualities, he/she can change the world one student at a time.
new people as well as see new cultures. It has always been a dream of mine to travel
When you were younger I’m sure your teacher asked you and your classmates what you wanted to be when you grew up. I remember some of my classmates wanting to be a fireman, a police officer or a doctor. I wanted to be an educator. Being the naive and carefree child that I was, I had no knowledge of what responsibilities or rules would be packaged into this career. Now that I am in college earning my Bachelors in Elementary Education, my perspective of how a teacher should act and care for their students. As you continue reading, I will discuss my professional responsibility, the code of ethics I will follow, and the high moral standard that I set for myself.
Detroit, Michigan is my hometown and I lived there for eleven years. My parents wanted to get out of the moody and violent environment, because they grew up in Detroit as well. In 2008 half of my family moved to Covington, Georgia. My new life was different, because not only did I have to adapt but I had to look towards the future. In this new environment I had to make new friends and get out of my comfort zone. Honestly moving to Georgia was one of the biggest jumps in my life, because I was in a whole new city and it was really a fresh start. So I had to look out for myself and make sure that I made better decisions than before.
I consider myself to be creative. I am a henna artist and my interest in henna art and makeup has developed over the years. I am also gaining my qualification as a makeup artist at West Thames College. Being able to work as a team in the collage and interact with other people from different cultures and background has enhanced my communication skills. Ice skating and swimming allowed me to do something I really enjoy.
An effective teacher will excite, inspire and motivate students to be active in their learning, investigate new areas of knowledge and make connections to future learning (Whitton et al 2010). When a teacher is successful, their students are motivated, mutually respectful and ready to build on their knowledge and solve real-world problems. To be a teacher of value, one must have many skills and qualities to cater for a diversity of learners and their individual development; this includes many personal traits that are noticed students.
My interest in teaching started at a young age. I used to watch my teachers in awe as they were able to find new ways to get their students involved and excited to learn. Their enthusiasm to teach was so inspiring. I would often find myself using that same fervor as I grasped each concept. I, then, was able to relay it to my fellow classmates as a peer tutor. To this day, becoming a teacher is a passion that flows through me. However, my enthusiasm and passion are not the only reasons I would be a good teacher. I aspire to see a student’s ability to grasp the knowledge they never before understood. I aspire to see a student succeed at something they never thought they ever could. I aspire to not only support students with academic skills, but also with life lessons about the value of community, pride in one’s own ethnicity, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and more. I aspire to play a fundamental role in ensuring that all students from all cultures and learning abilities have the opportunity to be guided in a positive learning
Most importantly, I hope to visit every continent. I have always had the dream of traveling all over the world and finding the place where I want to live for the rest of my life. I imagine myself studying abroad somewhere in Europe for a year in college. I think that studying abroad allows a person to have a meaningful experience since he or she will learn everyday while also living in a completely different place that give you more experience in the real world. Along with this, I want to do more than just traveling; I want to do everything that a person is able to do on each continent. I want to see the wonders of the world, climb Mt. Everest, etc. Traveling is the most important thing I want to accomplish, because aside from my absolute love of travel and adventure, I want to experience culture and worlds that I have never been exposed to before. By visiting each continent, I know I will be fulfilling my ultimate goal of finding a place where I want to spend the rest of my l...
As we reminisce and reflect back either on our childhood or academic career, we tend to have that one teacher who was memorable to us in some way - for their sense of humor, their stellar personality, or perhaps having that charisma and charm no other teacher had to make a difficult subject and it 's concepts fun to learn. While knowledge is power, I firmly believe that it is rather the exchange and distribution of knowledge that is power. When one can educate the masses there is no doubt that together we can accomplish great things. Becoming a teacher would mean the opportunity to be able to witness the shaping and molding of the minds of the future generations and the satisfaction knowing that you have helped your students set themselves onto the right path and provide guidance towards the creation of a better tomorrow. Choosing to become a teacher will allow me not only to educate my students, but also educate myself to be a better teacher throughout my career. I believe it is a function of human nature to want to change the world for the better. In adulthood, I have learned that the improvement of the welfare of the world must begin with
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.
The first main reason that I have chosen teaching as a profession is because I believe that it’s continuous rewards will help me to lead a happy and fulfilled life. For example, teaching young children is one of the few jobs in which you can give and receive hugs on a daily basis. Children have an innocence and a passion for knowledge that I find amazing and I do not feel complete unless I am around them. Teaching will help provide this fulfillment for me every day. Also, teaching is a job in which it is ok, and even encouraged, to laugh each and every day. I feel that this is important for a person’s well-being and I think that it helps to keep people young and alive. I feel that in many other professions the day-to-day routine would become monotonous and boring, and I do not think that I would live a truly happy and fulfilled life unless I could be around children. I feel that a classroom provides many unique and dynamic opportunities every single day and I find that very appealing. Also, I am a very relationship-oriented person and I feel that I will enjoy building unique relationships with each child. I plan on knowing every child as thoroughly as possible because I feel that this will help me to be better at my job.
Teaching is a daunting task that I do not intend to take lightly. Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine for several years. I always knew that teaching would be the career for me, especially when I began working in the school system as a substitute secretary. I loved working in the school environment; coming in contact with children everyday made me realize how much I would enjoy teaching a classroom full of students.
“Teaching is often a difficult process, but the end result is very rewarding. Watching a child develop confidence and seeing a student progress in their studies is a very exciting process. Teaching young children is especially great because it is setting a foundation for life-long learning.”(Chronicle guidance publications). What is teaching? A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children), or students (adults) using lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and computers to present academic, social, and motor skills. Teachers can also teach foreign languages, art, kids with special needs, and P.E. Teaching has changed a lot compared to the traditional methods of just lectures and textbooks. Students now are encouraged to actively learn through groups or individual projects. They have learning games, debates, and experiments to help them through the learning process. Being a teacher would be a great career for anyone who wants to further themselves, to help people, and to have great benefits (chronicle guidance publications).
First, I realized that, teachers carry a lot of weight on their shoulders and have great responsibilities. They have to balance the curriculum, students, parents, lesson plans, common core, and upper management and still maintain a professional demeanor. Second, educators must follow a strong code of ethics. They must be professional at all times with students and colleagues, keep confidentiality, not have or show any prejudice or bias, maintain safe and positive learning environments, help students with problems, and hand out disciplines accordingly. Lastly, I found that when you’re a teacher, your education never stops. Teachers are always trying to improve their own education and professional growth, both for the benefit of their students and for the benefit of themselves.
