I have never understood how someone could take a gun and shoot someone or multiple people. My thoughts on control are very strong I believe that if anyone want to own a gun they should be required to have a mental and criminal background check. Although many people may pass it will help with the small percent that doesn’t. Which can lead to a decrease in number of shootings that happen yearly. Meaning it won’t be easy for someone to own a gun. The United States does not take gun violence as serious as it should be. This nation needs to wake up and realize that we need to make a rules and regulation for gun. After reading this article my stance on gun control has been influenced. I think that the computer algorithm is a great benefit to our society and our justice system. Having a machine that can predict the next shooting is a start to having better gun control laws. Most shooting are premeditated meaning people know what they are planning to the time of the purchase. That is why this tool is such a benefit for us because it allows officers and victim to stay alert. Although I do favor this …show more content…
Trump stated earlier this year that he wanted to ban all gun free zone in schools (New York Times). I know that where I come from there were many times that my high school was on lock down from shootings that happen in the neighborhood. If trump goes through with this plan than it is going to create problems. In this generation of children there is a lot of curiosity. Meaning there will be a lot of children bringing guns to school. When it comes to making decisions about school. We need to consider the smartest and safest ideals for our children, because they are the future faces of this nation. I agree with Hilary Clinton that our government need to have more consistence about gun control. The government needs to realize that gun violence is something happening multiple times a

has been Secretary of State, the First Lady of the United States, and Senator of New York. On November 8, I will be casting my vote for Mrs. Hillary Clinton. One reason I am voting for Hillary Clinton is because we both agree on gun control. Clinton believes we should ban assault weapons, have more strict background checks on people buying firearms, and try to stop illegal gun
Solomon Carson, Greetings Doctor Benjamin S. Carson, my name is Trevor Mangru. I have recently seen your Press Conference concerning your viewpoints on gun control, as well as how it is your belief that it could have prevented the Holocaust from taking place. Recently, gun control has been presented as a controversial topic all over the United States, as day by day, illegal weapons are being found. We are presented
NRA: The Right to Have Gun Rights Gun control is a very touchy subject in our world as crime rates rise and mass shootings occur. There are two sides to the table of gun control, either more control or less control. Both Democrats and Republicans have their stance on this issue and most representatives follow the party lines. It is typical that Democrats favor more gun control and Republicans favor less. The policy I support is the right to continue to carry a concealed weapon in every state; the
My Baseline Ethics I would define the term ethics as moral principles of right and wrong. I believe my religion and spirituality have a lot to do with what I view as right or wrong, or as ethical. Also, my religion is Catholic Christian and I strongly believe in God, so when I am faced with an ethical issue I often times think of what God would view as the right thing to do. For example, I believe in the Ten Commandments, and I believe it is wrong to act in ways against these commandments. “You shall
Gun Control in America Over the last 20 years mass shootings have become more common. More and more people are becoming concerned with guns, and the fact they are being used for killing innocent people. Over the past year we’ve had shootings in Orlando, Dallas, and multiple other cities. Many people have come to the conclusion that guns need to go. Others believe there should be background checks for every person who would like to purchase a firearm. Federal laws already prohibit some people from
Persuasive Articles on Gun Control Persuading an audience can be done in several different fashions, one of which is Hugh Rank’s Model of Persuasion. Rank’s model states that two major strategies are used to achieve the particular goal of persuasion. These strategies are nicely set into two main schemas; the first method is to exaggerate an aspect of something, known as “intensify.” While the second is to discredit it, which is referred to as “downplay.” Al Franken, Jeffrey Snyder, Harlan Ellison
subsequent founding of the United States. The implications of and limits to liberty have been continually debated and evolved since the revolutionary era and are perhaps more relevant than ever today. One prominent issue pertaining to liberty is gun control. Established by James Madison in the Bill of Rights, the Second Amendment gave citizens “the right to bear arms.” Since then, some lawmakers and citizens have sought to restrict the right to bear arms in an attempt to preserve safety for all. As
Why try to take this away? Gun control policies are an arising problem that the united states face. Taking away guns is not going to prevent major mass shooting, guns are needed for personal safety, and sport shooting is a major industry and community that united states citizens do for a living. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Limiting guns will only lead to violent people simply using other methods of killing. Pro-gun control advocates
and how even though my party is pro-life, I am pro-choice. I will outline my reasoning for this, but the main reason is for abuse victims and unwanted children being tossed aside. Children who are brought up by teen pregnancy are predisposed to lead harder lives, depend on the government help and are more likely to become teen parents. I will also be considering the pros and cons of gun ownership, and the
lessening the amount of blood spilled during the altercation. British law reflects a “deference to the constabulary,” by which the King owed a duty of protection to his subjects. That’s obviously not part of our tradition.(Shapiro, 2013) Despite what gun prohibitionists claim, the no-retreat rule has deep roots in American law. At the Supreme Court, SYG dates to the unanimous 1895 case of Beard v. United States, in which Justice John Harlan affirmed the right to armed self-defense. (Weaver,2008) It
Gun violence is a serious issue in today’s world that is continuing to grow more dangerous. Everyone perceives the issue differently but President Barrack Obama has an exceptional view in which he exemplifies the importance of keeping our nation’s people safe. President Obama speaks to the entire nation in his “Remarks on common-sense gun safety reform” providing thought provoking concepts involving gun violence. Throughout Obama’s speech, he states how he believes in the Second Amendment but contrastingly
Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, the film became well recognised and distributed. Nonetheless, the film’s controversial approach to the subject matter of the United States’ gun culture had influenced many to support the anti-gun argument and many outside of the United States to become critical of America’s gun laws. Interestingly, despite the fact that Moore is present in many of the scenes, he never explicitly states his opinion on the subject matter throughout the film. He instead takes

Does Gun Control Work? In America, there's a lot of debate about whether or not gun control would work in the United States. Most Republicans and conservatives want less gun control, but most Democrats and liberals want more gun control. People should know some gun control history, the amount of deaths and lives saved by firearms and also what guns are commonly owned, and know the difference between full auto and semi auto and what is a bump stock and how it works and if more gun control will work
