I had the pleasure and convenience of interviewing non other than my sister Kelsey Mango. Kelsey has been with Insight Global, a staffing firm, for the last four years following her graduation from James Madison University. Insight Global has 41 different offices throughout the United States and Canada, however Kelsey recently moved to their Boston office from DC in late August. Kelsey was an entry-level recruiter back in 2012 following her graduation, but quickly climbed the ranks to reach the status of an Account Manager, where she has sat for the last 3 years and 3 months. As an Account Manager in Washington DC, Kelsey was tops in sales in the office for 2 of the 4 years she was there, and was the first account manager to eclipse a $20k spread in one week. Insight Global is a “premier provider of employment solutions,” staffing companies like Insight Global help employees without jobs find short term or long term positions with companies looking for sometime to fill a position. For example, a company like Dell might look to Insight Global to find a programmer for a certain setting on their new computers if they cannot find one on their own or if they cannot find someone who they deem adequate. I have talked with Kelsey on multiple occasions regarding her position, however asking her these questions gave me a lot better insight into sales and how she makes a living. I learned a lot from talking to Kelsey about sales positions now and in the future, especially as an
It was my original intention to interview Lad Akins Director of Special Projects at REEF (Reef Environmental Education Foundation). Lad was also Executive Director of REEF from when it was started in early 1990’s. So not only is he an employee, but is familiar with anybody who has ever been employed at REEF. Furthermore, it would have been interesting to get an answer to the question, When you were young did you want to grow up to run a non-profit marine conservation organization? A schedule miscommunication took place, and Lad was out in the ocean collecting data when I showed up at REEF Headquarters in Key Largo. However, the new Lionfish Program Coordinator, Elizabeth Underwood was conducting a class for high school students at the time. I sat in on the class, and then interviewed Elizabeth Underwood afterwards.
Recalling her successes before, without a doubt, Campana is quite the adept software saleswoman with the skills and experience to back it up. Further, the case makes it worthy to add that Campana also graduated with a Master’s in Business from a large, Midwestern University. Being so well-experienced would have yielded many connections for the Buckeye Group, and would further build a network that Campana could use in her future endeavors. More importantly, due to her familiarity with the product and software in general, Campana has the significant advantage of already knowing her target market, should she decide to take the marketing job at MetalCoat. Such knowledge would certainly make her transition into the new job easier to
I started off the interview with a question about how Ms. Byrd became the manager of Top Dollar Pawn. She told me she acquired her position through family. Her step-dad, Jack, became fascinated with pawn shops after shopping and finding many valuable items. Jack decided to open his own business and asked Rosalyn Byrd if she

For my informational interview I spoke with a nurse who has experience working on a medical surgical unit in a hospital setting. She has been a nurse for 10 years. It is important to her that people know they are collaborating with Esther when planning their financial futures. She works hard to make clients feel as though their input is equally as relevant as her guidance. Ms. Aw works hard to educate the individuals who hire her, promoting a foundation of trust as she builds relationships with clients.
Mango, Abuela, and Me is a 2016 Pura Belpré Author and Illustrator Honor Book about Mia and her grandmother who comes from a Latin-American country to live with Mia’s family. As granddaughter and grandmother begin to spend a lot of time together, they face a language barrier—Mia only speaks a little bit of Spanish and her grandmother speaks very little English. Mia tries to teach her grandma basic English using sticky notes and they both repeat after each other, yet it is still a challenge to communicate. One day, Mia goes to the pet store with her mother and decides to buy a parrot as a gift for her grandmother. Mango, the parrot, picks up both English and Spanish phrases and while he practices, so do Mia and her grandmother. Over time, they
Regions are divided into branches and sales teams covering specific customer industries and sectors. Martha Pauley, a Branch Manager, manages multiple sales teams in the Northeast Region. The sales ...
It as well helped me to network with people in the field. I want to inspire people, I want someone to look at me and say “because of you I didn't give up”.-Taeisha Stewart. This quote stated moments before I started my interview. I was fortunate enough to interview Mrs. Holicky who is my preceptor and senior practice manager of Gilchrist services. I presented several questions that were related to Mrs. Holicky’s her career as a practice manager. I learned a lot about the practice since it’s my internship site. In addition, Mrs. Holicky has helped me to get to know her better and has helped expanded my knowledge all services that Gilchrist offers. As a result of my internship experience, I have a better understanding of what career goals I want to meet. This experience definitely opens up an idea for my future career goal.
I felt that Ms. Zindler would be a great person to interview because she works at the same school I do
More than just a sale promotion strategy Lisa and her team have built lasting relationships
