My life is related to the sidewalk I chose because of the characteristics that represent the story of my life. A sidewalk to me is a laid path to my future and along the way there are bumps and cracks in the road. But there is only one rule to my sidewalk. You have to keep walking no matter how hard life gets or no matter how many cracks are in my sidewalk. Sometimes life goes as planned, and sometimes life can be unpredictable or hard off.Just like a sidewalk, the older i get the worst i'll look but underneath the concrete slabs is a man know one knows. Sidewalks can be as hard as the concrete but as soft as the grass. The cracks on my sidewalk represent many different things such as basketball, and hard times.

Sidewalks are different shapes and sizes, people tend to make their own decisions to which way they would want to go. Going through the motions on a sidewalk is similar as going through the motions of life. There are many turns that could get you to your final destination and turns that can also get you into places you would not feel so comfortable being. Staying on the right path and trying to get to where you need to go isn’t so hard but when you have other sidewalks with nice grass and big beautiful street lights that can be a very big distraction to the eye and that could cause problems in your life. Nice sidewalks sometimes don't always tend to continue a nice path so they can be very believing at first but when you make it to the end

Choices in life can be as simple as deciding where to go out to eat or what to wear and as difficult as deciding which college to enroll in and who to marry. The most strenuous part is not knowing if you made the right decision because even the simplest choices can shape the future. There are no guarantees in life so every decision counts. Second guessing is as natural to humans as breathing, which makes the decision making process that much harder because it is more than just picking something and sticking with it, there is always the curiosity of what if? Even when faced with the most difficult decisions one must live with the choices they have made, which is very similar to what the speaker of “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost is forced to deal with.
Conflict is an important part of any short story. The short story, “On the Sidewalk Bleeding,” contains three major conflicts: man vs. man, man vs. nature, and man vs. himself. In this essay, I intend to explain, prove, and analyze these three struggles.
Our perspective on life can have a significant impact on our life. Depending on how you were raised it can impact your perspective on life very differently than others. For example if you were raised in a home of poverty or drug abuse you are use too that lifestyle when you're young. It wouldn't be till your older you would realize it is not a normal way of life. It shapes our life. In the novel the Glass Castle Jeanette is a perfect example of how your perspective changes throughout life as you experience life in addition to maturing. Her change in life had an unbelievable impact on her life that made her a well round mature adult despite her upbringing in poverty.
For example, Rick from the Walking Dead has his whole life set his job as a cop and his family. A wife who he was happily married to, a son and a nice house. But that had come to end when the walkers came. That dream life was destroyed and now he had to fight his way to his wife and child. On the page where Rick is coming out of Dale’s camper and his wife and friend are chatting. Shows how even though this is not the life they want but they are making the most out of it. Since they know they can die at any moment of time. Same goes for Gwendolyn Brooks the author of Kitchenette Building, she lives her life in a constant unchangeable circle. She makes the most of it since she only have one life and if she doesn't cherish it who would. For example: ““Dream" makes a giddy sound, not strong Like "rent", "feeding a wife", "satisfying a man". “ She states in her poem which shows that this wasn't her dream but this is real life. Dreams are for kids to make them dream of their future and to try harder, but real life is way worse and harder. then we believe it to be so we dream to keep us happy and the kids for worry about the future. Which shows many people situations today how they thought their life will be one way but ended
The easy road would have been more secure and he would have had less to worry about, but he probably wouldn’t have enjoyed life as much. “And both that morning had equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day!” This is the part of the poem I myself have always had a slight confusion with, but have taken it that it is supposed to show his selection of the more difficult path and how he would return to it later in life and try the other path. The thing that confuses me about this section of the poem is the next line.” Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.” This to me shows that he wants to return and try different things in life, but knows once he has chosen a road trying a different one is quiet difficult.
When I am asked to make meaning of my life, the biggest recurring theme is my resounding resiliency. I am sure of myself. I have unwavering hope, optimism, and trust in myself. Often, this shocks those who are just getting to know me. Others are not shy to call me naïve. People are normally quite curious as to where this aspect of my personality came from. I believe my resiliency is the result of personal growth through adverse, and dire conditions in my childhood.

The setting of "A Worn Path" by Eudora Welty, takes place on a cold December morning during the 1940 's. In "A Worn Path", the setting allows readers to grasp a better understanding of various components which make up the story. The components are the character qualities, symbols and the mood and atmosphere. The path the main character, Phoenix, follows to the city and what she endures through her journey shows what kind of person Phoenix is and the true qualities of her character. The symbols found in the setting allow a deeper incite to the meaning of the story and why they are present.
Choices are the main theme of this poem. The speaker realizes the choice he is about to make is going to affect his future. The point of this poem is that the speaker will not know his future until it happens. Nature and roads are said to be symbols that are very important to the speaker. It helps the reader understand why he choose the path he took. The fork at the road represents the speaker’s life. The title “The Road Not Taken” means that not all choices that one comes to are going to be easy and not all are going to be the right choice, but one has to make them at some point in life. When it comes to difficult situations like this it its not always best to take the one more traveled but the one best for them, but choose wisely.
Maybe the other choice was better, maybe it was worst one does not ever know. “Both equally lay” (line 11) both roads/choices look the same, the style shape the color are all the same. Many choices are this way. The educated person will look as far down each as they can. To study for a test or not to study for test would be a choice for someone in college. The study group could start with the intention to study, but they get to talking about something else and forget about the study and the whole group fails. Which would look like a bad thing at that time; however, this would cause them to study harder for the next test. In line 13, “oh I kept the first for another day” the speaker would like to able to go back if he does not like the choice after he makes it. In line 15, “I doubted if I should ever come back” the speaker doubts if he or she will want to come back or be able to come back because of the choice could have detrimental effect on their well-being. “Ages and ages hence” (line 17) many years have to pass before someone can realize what choices have shaped their life and made them who they are. “I took the one less travelled by” (line 19) the speaker took the road every few other have

Ultimately, my life is an intricate combination of my past, present, and future. At all times my life is being affected by my past experiences, present situations, and future aspiration. My past experiences shape how I react in present situations, while my future aspirations influence the present situations that I take on. People all around the world go through miscellaneous experiences in their lives. Every situation can affect a person in any type of way. The resulting effect does not always need be dissatisfactory; sometimes is a combination or both good and bad. Many aspects in my life have influenced my personality and how I live my life. Getting bullied in middle school has affected my life intensely, however managed to make me stand for myself, a stronger person, and not scared of what anyone says about me.
