Obtaining My CNA Sensition In Nursing

What I would consider my biggest success so far in my life was also one of the biggest challenges I have been faced with. Obtaining my CNA certification has been my greatest success yet. I put this success above others because it’s a direct step toward becoming an RN, which is my main priority in life right now. Getting this certification all started when I decided I wanted to be a nurse, one day when I was very young. What followed that was the actual process of obtaining it, and then all the benefits that came with it.

I got it at the United Technologies Center where my classmates and I spent a year through ups and the downs earning our certifications together. It took a lot of studying and a lot of extra time on top of all of my regular classes to get the grade I earned in that class. There is more information you need to obtain as a CNA than I ever imagined. In order to receive a certification in this class I had to complete hours of clinicals, I think it was about 75. Clinicals were rough. I had to go to a nursing home one to two times a week and do the nurses grunt work. Clinicals overall were pretty dreadful, but this was work I had to get used to and I powered through it. The final exam at the end of the year is what determined whether I got my certification or not. It was a standardized test that everyone statewide had to take.
