After taking the ELASSI assessment I was honestly disappointed in my results. I got very low scores in most of the categories. I was not exactly sure why I scored so low. Looking back after taking it I felt like I did not answer very many questions to one extreme or the other. Most of my answers were in between. Realizing this, I began to think more about the questions, and try to give more sure answers in my post test. Interestingly, my scores in the post test were vastly better than my first. I scored above the 75th percentile in the Attitude and Interest, Motivation, and Time Management categories. I was very pleased with my post test results. In taking the VARK assessment I found that my greatest strength lies in kinesthetic learning. …show more content…
I enjoyed taking this test and learning more about my personality. This information is very helpful in not only understanding myself, but also others and the way they view different aspects of life. The results of my test concluded that I have an ISTJ personality type. The first letter “I” means that I have an introverted personality. The “S” stand for sensor, which means I feel most comfortable dealing with practical matters. “T” stands for thinker, which means that I rely more on my thoughts rather than my feelings when I make decisions. Finally, “J” stands for judger, which sounds bad but actually has to do with organization and means that I appreciate order in my life and in the world world around me. I feel like this was an accurate assessment of my personality and I enjoyed seeing my results and learning about how my personality type might relate to …show more content…
This course gave me great insight and instruction in many aspects of college life. Time management was one of the first things taught this course which really applies to every aspect of life. In college especially, time management is crucial in making sure you are completing homework and preparing for tests in the proper time. Through this section I learned tools to help me make sure I set aside appropriate time to study and prepare well for each class. In the following section on Financial Literacy, I found great information on how to handle finances during your college years. Finances are something I think all everyone should be well educated in because it applies to absolutely everyone. Having an understanding of finances is very important all throughout your life and I am glad this course gave information to help students know how to handle money and set them up for a successful future. Learning new note taking styles was very interesting helpful. I know if I apply the tools given they will help me to take better notes and ultimately allow me to do better in the course. These are just a few of the great things this course has taught me that will help me become a better student both inside and outside the
The Myers and Briggs personality test is unlike many of the personality tests you will find randomly online because it was designed to examine the ways in which you focus on the world and make everyday decisions. After taking this test myself I have found out a few things about myself that I did not really notice before. According to the Myers-Briggs test my personality type is INFP, which stands for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, and Perceiving. At the start of this test I had no idea that I was considered an introvert because as far as I can remember I have always loved being around people and never really thought about things before acting, which is the exact personality of an extrovert. The end of this personality test has a section that describes the different traits of those under that category and as for what it says about me I do feel that it matches some of my traits to a tee, but at the same time I feel like there are a few traits that are a bit off. Perso...
Have you ever wondered why you react to situations in the manner to you do? Whether you are calm and collect, or rigid and boisterous, the way you react to life is linked to your personality. Many different models exist to determine your personality type using answers from a series of questions or selecting between two opposing options. The most popularly used assessment is the Myers-Briggs Indicator Type test, which is based off the foundation of C. G. Jung’s work on personality types. The typology in the Myers-Briggs Indicator Type test yields results that determine if the person is introverted (I) or extraverted (E), sensing (S) or intuitive (N), thinking (T) or feeling (F), and judging (J) or perceiving (P). Each of these types corresponds
With college right around the corner and taking a college course gave a real sense of how college classes are going to work giving me an edge over all of the other students going to college that didn’t take a dual enrollment course. Dual enrollment was honestly one of the best decisions I made in my academic career because like what I was saying this class taught me the inner workings of how most assignment are going to be turned in, what it means to be self-reliant/ on your own have no help with assignment from your parents, experiencing a course that only a handful of assignment rather than a ton of assignment ends up making up over eighty percent of your grade (getting you to work extra hard so you won’t fail) and finally that you have to actually interact with the professor/teacher if you need help or are having trouble with an
I found this assessment extremely useful since it helped me see my weaknesses and strengths clearer. Knowing what my strengths and weaknesses are helps me know what sort of emotions or habits I need to be careful of and what qualities I can improve and/or
Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling.
After taking this personality test I could not decide if I felt that my results were accurate about me or not. The personality test resulted in describing me as an extravert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (Humanmetrics,
Having completed the Myers Briggs Personality Test previously, I was identified as an INTP, which stands for introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. Accordingly, this personality is often labeled as “The Architect” or “The Logician.” Despite my previous results, I repeated the test as instructed in the assignment. Consequently, based on the outcome of the test, my personality has altered in the past year. Thus, my updated results based on this analysis were, INTJ (introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging). However, the two personalities are not vastly different, as only one trait seems to have varied. Therefore, instead of a holding characteristic grounded in perception, it would appear that I am more inclined to mannerisms
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
My confirmed personality type according to the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator is INTJ, which stands for; Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, and Judging. Introverted people are comfortable being alone
After taking the online personality test I learned that I am an INTJ personality. Consequently, this was not a big surprise for me because I had already taken a similar test in my psychology class and ended up with the same result. I did not learn how accurate the test was the first time since I did not do further analysis on the exact meaning of my personality type. The 16 personality type’s website de...
There are many different personality tests out there and many to try. At the end of the test it will tell you what your personality is like. The different personality tests will be, The Big-Five Personality test, Myers-Briggs Personality test and Holland’s Personality test.
My results said that I have an ISFJ personality. My scores were introvert (56%), Sensing (31%), Feeling (16%), and Judging (44%). The assessment stated that ISFJs frequently find themselves in occupations that either involves a lot of dealings with other people and require thoroughness and persistence. They work in organizations of various sizes and industries, where as a rule they work with people. Very often ISFJs recognize their potential in healthcare (nurse, patient care, and medical services, as well as administrative jobs) and several community care organizations. I do agree with some of the Jung Typology Seal assessments. I agree with being an introvert since I am a person that is reserved and to myself half of the time, but, on the other hand, I do like to serve others. I do not agree that I am overworked. If I get to the point to where I feel overworked, I will go to my boss and discuss the matter, so that I can get help with my work before resulting in some of extent psychosomatic illnesses. I agree with the part about working best with a small group or one-on-one situation. I also agree with the traditional careers for ISFJs attitude that include: teaching, social work, most religious work, nursing, clerical and secretarial work of any kind, and some
After taking the Big Five Personality Test I’ve concluded that it is a fairly accurate assessment of my personality. 1) On Openness to Experience/Intellect I ranked at the 53 percentile, with the description that I don’t typically seek out new experiences. I would agree with this assessment. While I am somewhat creative, I am no artist. It takes me more time to do something creative than something analytical, but I do still like to be creative on occasion.
that test was my personality type which is (ISTJ) Introvert, Sensing, Thinking and Judging. I
did enjoy taking the tests and reading the results, and I hope that I will be able to use the
