...thers. Having a firm grasp on my own personality increases the likelihood that the eternal consequences of my behavior toward others are positive (Fischer Lecture). Fischer compares the relevance of organizational behavior and personality to that of a covenant, particularly God’s covenant with us. A covenant is a mutual sharing or an agreement to work together and I think applying this same idea to understanding personality preferences can absolutely change the outcome of interactions in organizations.
Additionally, one of the biggest things I have learned from this assignment is that instead of focusing on fixing and eliminating my weaknesses, I should instead focus my energy on building upon the strengths I have been blessed with. Not only does this make me a better person and employee, but also it allows the strengths of others to shine where I am lacking.
