My Personality Trait and Meaning To have a rewarding career it is important for me to understand how my personality affects my behavior at my job. Knowing my personality traits will help me to have better relationships in my organization. It will allow me to understand how I interact with my co-workers. For example, one area is that I am more comfortable working alone. I find this to be a weakness because at times I am not motivated to finish a task. I also have found that it could be a more positive outcome if I worked with others. I noticed that I tend to use my emotions when making decisions I also have learned that I have some characteristics of being an extrovert. . When making decisions using emotions could have a negative effect an important issue within my job. Sometimes it might be beneficial to not be so emotional when making decisions. I am sensing because I take in information using my senses. I can sense information from events from the past and I can remember a person’s face. I have learned how I make decisions is based on if I am thinking or feeling (Personalitypage.com, 2015). My personality trait is that I make decisions based on feelings. The benefit of measuring the Big Five Personality traits is that it aids in measuring specific job performance measures. These measures include motivation, interpersonal interaction, and the ability to influence others (as cited in Barrick, & Mount, 2005). The Myers-Briggs Type indicator is an instrument designed to measure the elements of Jungian personality theory and makes the theory of psychological type both understandable and highly practical by helping individuals identify their preferences in four areas. According to the MBTI, I have a moderate preference for Introversion, a clear preference for Sensing, a slight preference for Feeling, and a clear preference for Judging (ISFJ). In general, ISFJs are sympathetic, loyal, considerate, conscientious, and will go through any amount of trouble to help those in need (Hirsh&Kummerow,1989).
These types of personality assessments are useful because they can help us see how each of us are different and how we each fit into our roles and responsibilities. Life would not be nearly as functional if we were all the same, and personality assessments can be useful by showing us how we all can work together and see our strengths and weaknesses in a way that can help us improve them.
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. This assessment is consistent with the results that I received in part I of the exercise. I am an extroverted person who enjoys being around and working with people.
Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling.

Health can even be affected by personality because immunity can be altered by personality traits like sociability, optimism, and carelessness. Personality determines the way social interactions occur and when social relationships are determined by how the interactions occur personality can really affect the way one builds social relationships. Just like social relationships, academic and occupational success are affected by personality traits like carelessness, mastery, and agreeableness.
