Model and enable were two words commonly found in the Leadership Practices Inventory: LPI® (Kouzes & Posner, 2013) to describe my strengths as a leader. Follows through on commitments, develops relationships with the people she works with, in addition to treating others with respect and dignity scored the highest on the scale (Kouzes & Posner, Leadership Practices Inventory: LPI®, 2013).
The findings were not surprising to me because I rated myself quite high in those areas too. I feel that doing what you say you will, and treating others as you want to be treated are principles that should not only be looked at as great strengths but as internal values that convey credibility. When people trust you and know they can come to you without judgment, it offers them a sense of security and peace.
Whereas, inspire and challenge were on my least frequent. Describes a compelling image of the future, shows others how long-term interests can be realized by enlisting in a common vision, and takes risks even though there is a chance of failure scored the lowest (Kouzes & Posner, Leadership Practices Inventory: LPI®, 2013).

...uch easier said than done. Although we are all on the same team, we work with distinctive audiences, making us more diverse than similar. I’d like to get us to a point of working together as a team, and creating consistency across all audiences, mediums, etc. If we collaborate more often, we will become a better, tighter unit, and begin to trust one another we will create unity on the team.
“Leadership is lifting a person’s vision to high sights, the raising of a person’s performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations” (Drucker, 2016). Thus, an effective leader is measured by the accomplishments set forth by an exceptional individual. By taking assessments, exploring my strengths and weaknesses, and coming up with a plan for further development, I am on the path to increasing my success in becoming a productive leader.
