Introduction
This past week of LED 480 class was both informative and challenging, due to the fact that there was so much information to decode. Also, this class has the added pressure of being the last one before I begin writing my Capstone project. Getting to this stage of my Organizational Leadership degree plan has taken me over 24 months of non-stop classes. Therefore, this class is very important to me, in particular because it sets the foundation for my Capstone research project. Ultimately, there were several key aspects that I learned during this past week, such as ways to get organized, advanced online library research methods, and suggestions from Kumar, R. (2012) using the Research Methodology textbook. …show more content…

As stated earlier, I can be either well organized or disorganized, and this idea will help me stay on track. Once again, this suggestion seems simple, but it is easy to forget to take notes. I especially like the suggestion about summarizing the articles in my own words to ensure they are fully understood and to easily reference them. I will print out the articles and type a “notes” page, which will include tabs to easily find the articles. Altogether, doing this will help me keep myself …show more content…

For example, Kumar suggests that research is basically finding evidence about a particular subject. Additionally, he suggests that the research needs to be conducted from one of four different types of perspectives. In my case, the “professional” perspective will apply due to the fact that I am going to be gathering evidence about my topic from a non-stakeholder point of view. My mission is simply to find relevant, fact based, information without being biased to any pre-conceived ideas. Ultimately, my research will be aimed into finding “accurate, sound, and reliable information” (Kumar, 2012).
