1. In my opinion, sex in general is awkward. I find that talking about sex, having sex, and even listening to my friend’s experiences will make me uncomfortable. This level of being uncomfortable is not to the extreme of where I never do anything that involves sex, but anytime it is brought up I get a little uncomfortable. One reason I believe I have this opinion is because in general I am just an awkward person. The reason that I find is most prominent though, is that while growing in a religious family sex was never brought up. It almost seemed as though my parents were avoiding the subject. Since sex was not talked about, I was never particularly interested in learning about it. Therefore, in high school my friends would talk about things involving sex and I would have to ask them to explain, which This egocentric fallacy I have was based on information I had learned about through the book and the movie 50 Shades of Gray. Now doing more research than this pop culture series I found that there are different levels or extremes of BDSM. After a week of this class I come to look at it differently and not just the pop culture version of it. It should not matter what happens during sex as long as the two involved agree to what is going on and are able to escape the situation if necessary. The ethnocentric fallacy I have was based on reading form another class along with media sources. The number of children a family has in the United States on average is low compared to those of developing countries. In a previous class was talked about how families in different countries had children for different reason than in the United States. Having more children in American means more mouths to feed, but in other counties the more children a family has the more the family incomes increases. Children are able to help provide for the family’s needs. Although this fallacy is not specific to sexuality, it has made me look at the reasoning people have for having sex and
