All people on this planet, no matter how close they may be, are different entities with different pasts and futures. Our lives are journeys with lessons along the way which help us to grow and develop into independent individuals with unique personalities and goals. My experiences and decisions in life have made me who I am today and will continue to shape my future. Through the practice of self-reflection, a person can learn a lot about themselves. Here is a little bit about me. I was born in norther Illinois and raised in southeastern Wisconsin. I spend most of my childhood in small houses or on a farm, so I learned the value of hard work at an early age. When it came time for me to go to high school, we moved into the suburbs of Milwaukee, and I was introduced to a new way of life. I started my degree with Central Texas College, not because I wanted to, but because I thought I was following orders to get an education. I enjoyed that the classes were free, but I didn’t care much for the sacrifice of personal time. Needless to say, I did not do well in my early years. I can’t say that I had a favorite instructor, but the most memorable was Mr. Trujillo. I dropped his government class two times. After a few semesters, earning about half of my associate degree, I took a break from my education. It was not until five years later that I decided to finish my degree with Central Texas College. This time I was much more mature and more serious about my education. This reflected in my grades, and in December of 2014 I earned my degree. After attending a professional development military school from January through March 2015, I met with a counselor from GCU to work on my next degree. I hope to have my degree in applied management by the end of the summer in
