Life After High School What is your dream job? Do you wish to fly into space to explore the depths of the universe or do surgeries to save lives? Do you wish to be a famous actor in every movie or put out fires when they happen? Everyone in the world has a dream job. As a kid you fantasize about your dream job. As you grow up you must now choose what you want. This was my life as a kid. I love animals and always wanted to work with them. This started out when I was very young. The neighborhood I grew up in had many homeless animals. Ultimately we took in a cat named Benny. Benny seemed liked the smartest animal in the world. He was an outdoor cat but whenever he wanted fed or got to cold he would walk up to our door, stand up on his hind legs and ring the doorbell. He was the second cat we had but he was my closest friend. When he died I became inspired to become a veterinarian to save animals. However, I also had a love for horses. I have been riding since I was in Elementary school. Riding a horse is the closest thing you can get to freedom. Throughout my years of riding I also was inspired to become an equine trainer. My life experiences thus far bring the best of both worlds to my education and career goals; a student coupled with a variety of life experiences. Being a newly graduated non-traditional student, mother of school-aged children, and experience working with students in the classroom, I bring diversity to your program. Through personal analysis and efforts with other professionals, I have overcome early childhood tragedies. Desiring to make the best use of my experiences by helping others to overcome trauma, and insecure upbringings by conquering these adversities and circumstances positively. Through my example of grit, tenacity, resilience, and perseverance, I hope to offer much to the students in my role as their mentor.
When I was a child most of school was always based on what you wanted to be. Constantly I was being asked what I wanted to become, I had always answered with a careless answer that every adult expected. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. Soon as I moved through middle school and now going through high school I became interested in the medical field. With my passion for animals and always wanting to help them, I soon realized what I wanted to specialize in. I am interested in pursuing a career in veterinary the reason I would like to make my plan concur because I want to improve animal 's health, perform operations to cure them and possibly help them stay healthier for a much longer period. Veterinarians are always doing
“What are your plans after high school?.”, This is a question that everyone is asked multiple times throughout the course of their lives. Sometimes it is just something that they themselves ponder in their own thoughts. What someone does after high school should be something that is not only interesting to that person, but will ultimately lead them into a career that they will loved and enjoy. A great career that is definitely worth considering is that of a paramedic. The job description of a paramedic is very broad and can have many affects on a person's life. But not only is this job greatly fulfilling to someone’s personal life, it is also very fulfilling to someone else’s life as well. It is a fast paced, adrenaline fueled job that requires more than the faint of heart. It requires a person who not only enjoys the thrill of the rush and a hard adrenaline pump, but is also content with
You will need to know how to take care of the animals and oversee the conditions of the animals that may have had a surgery or an animal that is ill. I selected this career because I love all kinds of animals and I think that a veterinarian is the right career for me. My aunt is in the ASPCA, and cares for many animals, so I grew up loving nature and having pets. Another reason that I think this is a good career for me is that I wouldn’t mind going into the medical field. I would love to save the lives of animals and help them get better when they are sick. There are a lot of animal jobs out there, but this one stood out to me.When I took my career test, my top two results were trade vocations and arts and culinary. My top sub-interest was communications. In my opinion, my results were not completely accurate. I do have interests in culinary work, but I wouldn’t want it to be my career.
The career that I chose to look into is Veterinary Assistant. This career is in the Veterinary Medicine field. A veterinary assistant is simply the assistant to the head veterinarian. They are a step below the veterinary technician, and work along side both the veterinarians and the technicians as well. They provide the more basic treatments to the animals, normally under supervision of the veterinarian. They keep an eye on the animals being treated, to ensure that they are comfortable. They assist veterinarians by preparing animals to be examined and prep them for any medical procedures. Vet assistants are also there to counsel the pet owners in difficult times and provide information and consolation to the owners. This position allows for
The top 75% get payed $62,930 and the lowest 25% get payed $44,970. After I took the test on Nebraska Reality Check, I realized that I need an annual salary of at least $43,630.56. This job would cover my style of living, but I’m just not sure it will pay as much as I would like it to. The job outlook for a wildlife biologist is worse than average, it is expected to only grow 4% from 2014 to 2024. The demand for wildlife biologists is also very low, considering that most funding comes from government agencies.
It is very common that many high school students hold part time jobs while going to school. When these teens work, they are able to learn and experience life lessons from ethical and moral work. Knowing that school is aways and should be a priority, students should work while in high school because working helps students be more responsible with their lives, help them practice time managment, and also helps students see and experience the real world.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
Most people imagine their dream job is to become a famous actor or a job they have seen done many times. Though because of the progression of technology I would be more suited in a field involving computers. My dream job is to become a successful software engineer because I have always been into computer systems, but can I fit this job, is the career life something I can manage and what opportunities should I go after when becoming a software engineer. Each time I notice how a program is used I wonder how can I make it become faster or more efficient. When you are using your cell phone or iPad there is usually an update at every month. This is because apple is improving the speed of your applications. A software engineer is sometimes overlooked, but without software engineer’s applications would either crash or would not improve. Although most people may feel looking at a computer all day and trying to fix it is uninteresting, I find it challenging
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
