My journey for cracking the MBA entrance scenario began six months back, when I started preparing for CAT ... I would regularly visit this site and compare my Sim-CAT scores with others to follow my progress ... But things did'nt go off too well for me on D-day ... My splits were -
Quant - 77 percentile
DI - 92 percentile
Verbal - 99 percentile
Could'nt make it through any of the IIMs, so decided to try my luck at GMAT ... Decided to take a month to prepare for it and give it my best shot ...
Just gave GMAT yesterday ... And man! Am I relieved it's all over! ... The worst part about preparing for GMAT was that, unlike CAT, I would know what my score is within minutes of giving the test ... And the result of my hard work will either pay off or go down the drain ... And in the end, it did pay off! ... I got a 760, and the world has just turned a shade of rosy pink! ...
I wanted to share my experience with PG ... Hopefully it might benefit a few others who are looking to break into the 700s ...
What I studied
The Official Guide -
Absolutely essential ... Especially for Verbal ... I did only the last 100 questions or so for Quant ... But solve each and every question in Verbal ... And don't simply solve the questions ... Understand why or why not ...
Kaplan CD -
Tests are OK, though low scoring ... Lessons are good for review ... Good to practise Quant from here, as the questions are above the OG level ... If you're aiming for above 700, get very comfortable with toughies ... RC's are very bad! ... The lengthy psycho-abstract mumbo-jumbo they give is nowhere near the standard of the actual GMAT ... They'll throw you off ...
Princeton -
Verbal is good ... especially SC ... The rules are very clearly laid out ... Too few problems to practice in their Bins, though ... Quant isn't that good ... AWA explanation was also the best among all the material I referred to ...

Did'nt observe anything extraordinary here ... Just solved all the questions for practice ...

I just submitted my last set of grades for the semester. This is always a big weight off my shoulders, but since it will be the last set of grades I ever submit at the University, it is an even greater relief. And so I think it's time for me to "give back" as the kids say.

This year alone I have had to learn a lot about health finance, I recently got married and with my husband in the Air Force, I had to learn a lot about Tricare, most of which my mom could not help me with. I searched many of my questions or called the company in my district, which to me knew nothing and couldn’t answer my questions, so learning this material in class gave me a glimpse of the future and the many problems I know I will have.
My thought about this course that I was expecting so far , was that it’s going to be easy. But a little bit challenging and it’s exactly what I thought. It’s also very organized, to make it easier to find all the weekly content, discussions, assignments and quizzes. They have the categories labeled so you can know what items go with the lesson. The most useful success/study strategies I applied during week 1 was to first read over the lesson and objective , also the announcement to get an head start of the lesson to be able to know what to expect to learn. After I read of objectives and the rest, I will take the knowledge practice problem to learn what I may know and don’t know to work on. The most interest concept covered so far all of week
I was so nervous. I failed it the first time so would I fail it again? This time I had to learn how to better Prepare myself. You would not nt to study in the same way you did before.
Test taking is one of the most important things to have good skills at. Test usually have a significant effect on your grade. The more you are used to test and are prepared for different types of test, the better your grade will be. I know that when I take test, I get vary nervous and I cant concentrate, but when I have the feeling of being prepared for the test, I notice that I am not so nervous when I come to take it. You should always find time to improve your test taking methods, personally I try to devote one whole hour the night before a big test so I can remember a lot the next day. In school you will have various test that some will be easy and some will be vary difficult, you should always be mentally prepared to take whatever test they give you.
My first year here at Georgia Southern University has been a remarkable experience of which I'm truly thankful for. Although it has came with impromptu trials that have tested my abilities to withstand encounters with anxiety such as stress and time management issues, my experience has taught me that you have to go by the motivational quote to, “Adjust to the passage of time… And be able to roll with the punches,” as Dolly Parton once said.
5 months later I was still going hard no turning back I was around like 13.5 credits so we was working.
Further in the paper we will look at the benefits of undertaking MBA program including: better career prospects, opportunity to gain not only theoretical knowledge, but also listen to experience class mates.

My motivation to obtain an MBA is two-fold: (1) to acquire the finance & managerial expertise to run a nonprofit enterprise, and (2) to prepare myself for an eventual return to India, where I will start a non-profit organization to help entrepreneurs develop and implement their ideas in education sector. Eventually, I hope to make a meaningful contribution to the Indian education sector by creating jobs and building a spirit of community.
