In order to have an effective evaluation, we needed to set goals. When we began the project , our goals were to feed at least 100 people, as a chapter record over 100 hours volunteering at the Wesley Chapel Mission Center (WCMC), collect 150 coats, and raise $1000. Yet, with hard work, and hours of preparation, we surpassed those goals. We fed over 180 people, volunteered over 210 hours and collected over 350 coats as well as many pairs of gloves and other winter accessories. On top of that, we also beat our goal of raising $1000 by raising an amazing $3,096.29.

Ross Abelow is not the type of person that sits around and shake his head about conditions affecting our four legged friends. He took matters into his own hands and decided to start a fund-raiser for the city's animals. The fund-raiser was started on January 13. The fund-raisers goal is to raise $5,000 for the cause. The funds are going to be donated to the shelter to cover food, medical care, and blankets for the animals. This is a very worthwhile cause that will surely help to save hundreds or perhaps thousands of animals that might otherwise perish. Clearly, the main focus is on providing those funds to keep the shelters open, especially in the winter. He would like everyone to check out his GoFundMe page for more on the charity work.
Over this course of this semester, I have learned a tremendous amount of information about myself from the self-exploration series. The results of my PGI (Personal Globe Inventory) presented me with a couple of different career paths to explore. The first type of career that was brought up to my attention was an enterprising career. There were a number of enterprising careers, but the one that interested me the most was business management. I decided to choose the business management because I am majoring in Sustainability and my focus is in Economics. I think business management would be an excellent fit for myself because I have actually done some research prior to this class about management. I would like to someday own an ice rink, and I think that becoming a manager would be a great stepping-stone towards reaching my goal. The requirements for becoming a business manager vary from university to university, but the overall direction of the major revo...
We raised almost $2000 from just private donations. These are from local businesses to individuals. We sent letters to local businesses and I was getting phone calls day after day. These people wanted to support the Piggyback Foundation and this is how the awareness spreads. That is our goal, people need to know about this foundation, so they can give to them. Our individual donations were on a different level this year. We are blessed to have caring community members and this senior project would not be the same without them. At St. Paul, we have had many families helped by The Piggyback Foundation. My mother, Allison Smith explains “that is why it is important to educate our school and community how important it is to support this local foundation.” I am proud of what we could do for this awesome foundation and I give thanks to the community for so much
I want everyone to feel like they belong, especially the homeless, they should be able to experience love and affection, just like everyone does. I would like to deliver food and blankets, from donations, for the homeless and the same time run a local food pantry to help them and anyone in need of assistance. We need to make the world a better place, in order for that to happen, we have to organize a cleanup within our city, start a recycling program and also let everyone know that we can all contribute by helping out. Most importantly, I would like to raise funds for research for medical awareness about a medical condition. There’s many conditions that go unseen every day, but we can change that, we can help everyone become aware of those conditions. We can together change people’s life and make the world a better

For my Graduation Project, there could not have been a better project experience than working with animals. I have always been fond of animals, and particularly interested in rescues and shelters. Therefore, nothing else could compare to helping animals in need. My mentor, Mary Anderson, has been the president and owner of Animal Keepers Rescue throughout the time it has been open. She has been incredibly helpful and informative throughout this journey. I was originally nervous going into the rescue, as I have not previously worked within one. However, the nerves quickly melted as the rescue gave off a sense of love and kindness. I had planned to learn more about the cats and the care they need, but ended up learning even more. It has been an amazing, educational experience, which has allowed me to follow my

Educational Goals: Education is extremely important part of my past, present, and future goals. I currently hold an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design Media. I have found that an A.A.S Degree does not go as far al I originally intended in the Rochester, MN area and furthering my education will be a necessity for my future career goals. Over the past 2 years I have been working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. I am currently a senior with 3 quarters left before a spring graduation. After a June graduation, I plan on taking a summer quarter break. After summer break I will either continue on at MSB for my Masters in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing or transferring the University of Minnesota for my Masters in Adult Education. After my Masters Degree is complete I will decide at that time if I wish to continue on and achieve my Ph.D.
"Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90 percent chance or a 50 percent chance or a 1 percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight." This quote by Lance Armstrong has been my inspiration through most difficult parts of my life. Computer Science has always been my passion since the time I used to play with computer games as a child and fiddle with the CPU parts. Vision and drive are two qualities that are fundamental to an innovator’s success. Master of Information Management and Systems is a specialized form of database management and engineer- ing. It is this field that will help me widen my breadth of knowledge beyond a specific technical field, into management and database.
As I look into the near future, I cannot help but find myself nervously awaiting the arrival of my field practicum. The process of getting to this point has been long, and even though I feel as though I am ready, there is always the constant fear of the unknown. I am sure my classmates are also feeling the pressure that I find myself under. However, I believe we are all ready to take the next step. It is time for us to utilize our skills, face our challenges, and prepare ourselves for the upcoming practicum.
In education 2130, we are ask to volunteer our time and do field experience that in return would give back to the community. I choose to do my field experience at Lula Elementary School in Hall County. During my time there I got to observe and watch teachers teach, how they handle children’s behavior and also their classroom management. In the paper I am going to discuss my field experience and what I learned in my time spent in a classroom. I am also going to try and make connections to educational psychology and what I learned in my education class. Also I am going to reflect on my emotional and professional reactions.
During my time as a student I have been able to develop the way I learn and interact with others to a degree that has also helped me to mature into a better person. I have come to believe that this maturity will help me to develop into a better thinker as well, one that has the patience to listen and take consideration of what others have to say. I consider the act of learning a two way avenue that has to be taken seriously. It is one that involves the teacher, and the protégé. It has been, and will continue to be, my absolute goal as a student to become a diligent protégé and acquire all of learning my teachers have set in front of me. The way each of them have helped me to think about how my actions, and the way I choose to study my lessons and develop as a student, has made a tremendous impact on my life. This impact is one that I will carry into the future as I myself advance in my professional studies.
