Personal Experience: My First True College Experience

Finally. My first true college experience, I 'm so excited to finally get a taste of what the next chapter of my life will bring. AOP was the first time I will spend the night at the campus and get my first look at college life. Although my heart felt like it was going to beat through my chest I was so excited there was one major problem standing in the way, and that problem was that I was going to be totally alone. This was going to be the first time doing something where I would know not a single person and I was excited but also very nervous. The date was August 23rd and I was on my way. I live about an hour from East Lansing so I had to wake early to be there on time. It was a beautiful morning with one of those awesome orange sunrises that I was treated to during my drive. After what seemed like 3 hours of auto-piloted driving because I had so much on my mind, I finally arrived in the mighty East Lansing. I plugged in the parking garage address so I knew exactly where I was going because this was only going to be my second time in this new land. I had heard AOP was a bunch of meetings and was not enjoyable from some of my friends who had already gone, but I did not think it was horrible because I was able to hang with Matt the whole time. We had to attend more boring lectures and make our schedule. Matt turned out to be a very outgoing person and everywhere we went we met many new people. I admired his ability to talk to anyone about anything and I hope I can take notes and become like that.
