Firstly I wish I would of known to check my schedule on the first day of school I printed my schedule weeks before in the summer I had already planned out where to go and got familiar with the buildings when I arrived I found out my classes had been moved to building I had never heard of it. With my phone not getting reception I had no Idea where to go or if the teacher was even there luckily other students in the class were able to found the class room but if I had check that day I could have avoided the confusion. Furthermore check your email your teacher may send you things to have for class or if the class moved.
Secondly know how you’re getting to school the first day. First days are always hectic getting there is no exception wither you’re taking the bus car or someone’s dropping you off. If you are taking the bus makes sure to have your route planned a head know what bus to get on and where to get off. Most importantly know the times of the bus does it come every 30 minutes or ever hour this can make I big difference in how early you wake up you don’t want to be late the first day of school better to wake up a little earlier then be late. If you’re driving get here thirty to an hour early parking gets bad everyone is trying to find parking if you see a spot take it don’t try and see if you can get a closer one. Avoid the closet to school lots they will be completely full with cars trying to squeeze in you’ll be stuck in a line of cars only to have to go to another lot in the end try the highest floors of parking garages or the lots a block away from campus they might be a farther walk but will definitely make up in time looking for a space. If someone is dropping you off know what building you’re going to there will likely...

... you can also create meaningful bonds with your teacher by being an active participant in classes they will remember you an can be really useful when writing a letter of recommendation or when the jobs ask teacher for recommendations for employees. Always stay on the good side of your teacher turn your work in on time or early read your book and take notes ask questions in class and visit them during the office hours
Another piece of advice I would give a new college student is take this time to meet new people I might be easy to stick to the same kind of group you had in high school or at work but why venture out found people of different races faith and interest than you it is. College is one of the times many different people with interesting experience will be all around you join a different kind of club learn more about you class mates join student government

My First Day Of School Essay

- In my family “the first day of school” was considered a very big event and in the early days it involved a crisp new uniform along with all the usual new school supplies. My mother had a traditional Catholic education and she wanted to make sure the children in our family did as well. Beginning in kindergarten, I attended school with the same group of kids. We knew what to expect from our older siblings in most cases, from how we would be taught, and of course, how to live within the school dress codes....   [tags: Dress code, School uniform, High school, Education]

- When I was young, everything was consistent. I was content with the way things were, and didn’t really think about the future. Everything changed that eventful afternoon when my mother told me that we were moving. I remember feeling confused, not knowing what the move entails. Moving houses meant that I had to go to a new school, something that I’ve never done before. I’ve been in the same school system my entire life, and was nervous to start a new. I’ve always associated change with a negative connotation; moving taught me that it is important to make the best of your situation, and not all change is bad. It was a rainy first day of school....   [tags: School, Lunch, Education, Cafeteria]
