1. Looking at the feedback that you gave to partners over the semester, summarize the type of feedback that you gave to partners (such as the clarity, the main idea, the organization).
• My feedback to my partner were mainly about the organization, sentence structure and the grammar. I gave my partners these feedbacks because in order to have a decent essay, there should be an excellent grammar and the sentence structure. After that, people can understand what the writer is trying to imply. Without a proper sentence structure, grammar and with a poor organization can make the essay less persuasive and weaker. Thus, tried my best to help my classmates to fix those weaknesses.
2. Include example pictures of the feedback that you gave to illustrate

Explain in what ways the feedback that you gave was or wasn’t likely to be helpful to a partner.
• I think the feedback I gave to my partner was helpful because he noticed the error that he did not notice with my help. Therefore, Kris improved his sentence structure at least a bit based on my suggestive comments. Also, I revised Khaled’s essay and I suggested him “you can write more information about the person you are interviewing”. I suggested this because I thought if Khaled introduce the person better, the audience will be able to know why they have to believe his interview. Just like this one, I gave many comments and suggestions that I hope helped my classmates.
4. Discuss your experience giving feedback in a way that shows your critical thinking through the process. For example, you could explain why you think that you noticed those writing issues, or what you gained from the experience of giving

Looking at the feedback that your workshopping partners gave you over the semester, summarize the type of feedback they gave you (such as the clarity, the main idea, the organization). If you want to include the feedback discussed in person as well, you can.
• I received numerous great feedback this semester from my classmates. Mainly, those feedbacks were focused on the organization of my essay. For example, they suggested me to move some of my sentences to different place in order to improve it in terms of persuasiveness.
2. What kind of feedback was most useful for you in making revisions for your next drafts?
• Personally, those feedbacks focused on the organization were most helpful. This is because sometimes I wrote certain sentences in a wrong place which made my essay complicated to read. Therefore, with their help I was able to notice those errors and make my essay much better.
3. Is there any kind of feedback you generally did not take when you revised following workshopping? Why?
• Ultimately, all of those feedbacks I received were extremely useful to write more convincing and better essays. Thus, I took all the feedbacks I received in order to make my essays better. Moreover, I am very thankful to my fellow classmates for giving a me a honest feedbacks throughout the
Feedback is a positive way to decide if your communication is effective and potentially useful. To get feedback, you could ask a colleague to watch over your discussions and ask them what you need to improve on and what your qualities are. You can also record your discussions and get multiple feedback by sharing your video among staff.

They organize, summaries, use quotations, use templates and have an exchange conversation through writing and were really clear with everything they presented. They kept me interest on the issue and not overload the essay it did had a lot of supporting detail but they did well on how they presented all the information this why it did not feel overload. Owen and Sawhill demonstrated that college is a lifetime earning investment but not everyone has the same opportunity and this is why some individuals do not think the
Throughout the semester, we were assigned five essays. Beginning with paper one, a summary response, we were expected to provide our audience with a brief summary followed by our response to it. I began my paper with a question as the hook, and then I provided the author’s claim. Afterwards, I gave a sentence worth of information about what the article is about and then presented my thesis. My brainstorming process was minimal. Honestly, I did not tackle much on following the writing process. I read the article and began to write accordingly to the assignment sheet. My grade on the essay obviously reflected on that due to no proofreading or revising. There were errors amongst my format, such as, heading and font. As far as feedback, Armstrong
In Feedback as a gift, Friedrich makes some good points about how to give and receive feedback.
Over the course of this semester I learned a lot about myself as a writer. This English 101 class has really allowed me to expand my essay structure and ways of thinking. This was my first college writing course and it has given me much more freedom when writing because in high school I felt limited and like what we were writing was not very important. In high school I would write essays to just to fulfill the required word or page count and to a degree I still feel like this but maybe that is why I am an engineering major but in this course I actually was able to express my ideas and for the first time really test the limits of my writing capabilities. I really enjoyed being able to incorporate my voice more in my essays and I believe that I developed my own personal style a bit from this. At the beginning of the semester my writing was quite choppy and there was plenty of room for improvement in the overall flow of my essays. Now, I use several different tactics such as outlining to create better connections between paragraphs. I believe I was able to move beyond many of the high school ways of writing and make general improvements to my essays.
Throughout this semester we have had to write many types of essays. Although this is a college English class there is still room for improvement. I made much improvement during the semester of the class. I was able to identify my weaknesses. I learned how to make improvements to the areas I was having problems in. Although each essay we did was different I was able to begin with one essay and throughout the semester turn it into two other essays. I was able to change my style of writing to fit the type of audience I was working with. I will continue to work on my writing and keep improving it.
After designing this assessment and explaining the relevance of it to the students, I told them that there were four particular items that I was assessing during this exercise. The rubric for the assignment has four key items that I am using to judge student performance, which were based on their roles. One, the role of the researcher. Did they keep the group on task, help the group understand the document, did they give background knowledge of said document, etc. Two, the role of the summarizer. Both students in the group had the summarization role. However, I was looking to see if the included all the main points of the Fireside chat document. Three, the role of the illustrator. Did they use detailed illustrations or significant elements of the document? Finally, I was looking for application of technology. Did the Word cloud or wordle demonstrates an effective understanding of the document. The use of the rubric will be communicated to the students by explaining that each
In this chapter, I learned new ways to give and to accept feedback. Personally, I like getting feedback. I like it because it allows me to improve on my work. For example, whenever I write essays I like to have another person look at it so they can catch any small, or even big, mistakes that I may have done. This chapter also taught me that too much negative feedback can really take a toll on a person negatively. When you give somebody too much negative feedback, that person can start to think that they’re doing everything completely wrong and can really be detrimental to their self-esteem. To give good feedback, you should give the person more positive feedback than negative. You should use constructive rather than destructive feedback. Constructive feedback is more information specific and issue specific based on observations without using judgement. Destructive feedback is full of judgement and isn’t helping the person learn. When you get the feedback, it is best to reframe it and then reconstruct it to your advantage. Getting feedback is always a good tool to get but not when it only contains
From the teamwork discussion with my classmates both inside the classroom and outside I gained a new viewpoint on asking for others to critique
Over the course of the semester, I feel that I have grown as a writer in many ways. When I came into the class, there were skills I had that I already excelled at. During my time in class, I have come to improve on those skills even more. Before I took this class, I didn’t even realise what I was good at. This is the first class where I felt I received feedback on my writing that helped me to actually review my work to see what areas I lacked in and where I succeeded.
...larify the structure and destination in which I was headed. By revising my essays I was able to make the content and message seem more important and made the final drafts seem a slight degree better than the originals, but the finals were better nonetheless. The instructor did a very good job in guiding me and helping find my way into writing by focusing on some of the problems I was facing and clarified them so that I would better understand them. The instructor helped me expand on my grammatical by helping me discover what it was that I lacked while constructing basic sentence structure; the usage of commas and semi-colons, quotations, and how to sight titles of books and articles within an essay. This English 101 course I have attended has helped me develop better writing skills as well as helped me create more profound essays and a very satisfying research paper.
Feedback is a way to let people know how effective they are in what they are trying to accomplish, or how they affect you. It provides a way for people to learn how they affect the world around them, and it helps us to become more effective. If we know how other people see us, we can overcome problems in how we communicate and interact with them. Of course, there are two sides to it: giving feedback, and receiving it.
Feedback is giving a response or aftermath description of the work being done. By receiving feedback, one is given the
Feedback should be communicated in language that is understandable for the learner, have a genuine purpose, and be significant for the individual needs of each student. Through feedback, teachers can provide the students with suggestions for development, learning strategies, and corrections for errors.
