On my wonderful trip, I visited the Grand Canyon, vegas, ate great food and spent the whole time with my family! I started my trip in Vegas, an amazing city littered with bright lights. Then I visited The Grand Canyon it was mesmerizing and took my breath away. The food was amazing all throughout the trip, I had my favorite foods every day. There were many long trips in the car and on planes. I spent the whole trip with my family and I met some really kind people. Seeing the Grand Canyon really complexes me, especially after I was told it was slowly formed over millions of years. I would come back to Vegas or The Grand Canyon again anytime. It started during summer break it was July, 10, I was driving to the airport! I have been waiting …show more content…
There were even slot machines in the terminal. After getting our bags, we left the airport. It was so hot. It felt like a huge hair dryer was blowing on us. It was 117 degrees outside that is a record for Vegas. We got into a shuttle bus to get to our rental car which was an SUV so we could fit all of our luggage. The traffic was terrible, it took ten minutes to travel less than a mile. When we got our car we started heading to our hotel. The scenery was insane all the hotels were massive and all light up in the night. One hotel was shaped like a pyramid and others were huge and looked magical! We entered The Venetian hotel, that's where we are staying in Vegas. The hotel is modeled to look Italian and it had a water canal running through it. It took awhile to find our room in the monstrous hotel. I hated staying in the rooms (even though they were so nice) because my brother was so annoying! He would always get me yelled at. I would be doing nothing by myself and he would try to annoy me. He would do this by poking me, flipping the lights or unplugging my …show more content…
I wish I could live here in Arizona. The land is beautiful and the people are nice too. On a side note, I am glad my little brother didn't get in the way of my great trip. I am planning on coming back to both The Grand Canyon and Vegas in the future. I recommend you visit The Grand Canyon and Vegas too, it is a really fun and interesting trip! This trip changed my life, it showed me what life can be like and that in places far from home there is really “Grand” things! I hope my wonderful experience inspires you to visit the same places I
The Grand Canyon, it’s truly is grand. The animals, the plant life, and the canyon’s history is something my father and I have been interested in for a long time. My dad, Erik, shows me plant specimens and fossils of animals i’ve never seen before. He once told me there was a type of vulture that are so close to extinction there are only 20 left alive in the world. We visited Arizona to see the Grand Canyon once dad got enough money to go on a roadtrip. I’m so excited to see my friends there, too. I brought so much snacks, maybe too much, and my backpack is kind of heavy for the hiking trip, but I’ll live through it.
I took a trip to Colorado In July of 2015 it was the best week of my life. The best part of that week was the day that I got to spend in rocky mountain national park. It was a great experience with beautiful scenery and wildlife everywhere you looked. This trip changed everything I thought about where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do when I am finished with my schooling.
We started our travels down in Columbus Ohio. The week leading up to the big move we spent at Deer Creek State park, for a family reunion, where my dad and step mom, had the chance to see everyone again, before the journey began. Over all we had taken nine days to get to our destination. First stop, Saint Louis, Missouri, we stopped to see the Gateway Arch. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, so of course I was pretty amazed. The first few days were our longest driving days, but sense we broke up the days, our longest day was eight hours. The second day was the worst, Oklahoma is so boring to drive through, and nothing but flat crop farms, and wind turbines everywhere you look. We drove till we got about seventy five miles from the boarder of New Mexico, And Oklahoma. We got up early and began a shorter dive to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we went to Petroglyph National Monument, yeah it was interesting, but after you see a few hundred, they all start to look the same. The next morning we took a beautiful hike and took many pictures to capture the moment. Other than getting there, my favorite part of the trip, was Arizona, where we stayed four days in Flagstaff, one day in Holbrook, and one day in Phoenix. I wouldn’t mind if I lived in Arizona, it’s a very beautiful state. My family and I stopped by the Petrified Forest National Park, and I
I arrived in Las Vegas October, 2009, a long time ago, but I’m sure the energy of the city has not changed. Most people find themselves entering Vegas through the McCarran International Airport that has digital slot machines posted everywhere from the moment you depart the plane. That is one unique thing you will notice about Vegas; the thousands of digital slot machines playing poker, blackjack, and keno in McDonald’s, gas stations, and laundromats. It is normal out there. However, I digress. Most people typically find themselves swooping down on Vegas on domestic budget carriers such as Southwest and Spirit, simply because they offer extremely cheap prices from all
The trip began when I took a small green pencil and signed by name on the release forms needed to hike in Yosemite National Park. I and nine of my friends left the ranger station that night with a neatly folded map and a felling of excitement to what lay ahead. The long drive to the park left us tired and in need of a good night’s sleep. We decided to stay in tent city like most hikers do before they set out for their trek. Tent city was a large subdivision of tents that resembled a community of houses. Each tent was perfectly uniformed in its appearance and made up a total of fifty tents. Before we went to bead, we studied our maps and made an itinerary to the amount of hiking we would do.
Going to Yellowstone park for the first time was very exciting and scary. First, my dad bought the tickets for my family. Then he drove us to the park.My dad drove the car for maybe 1 hour. Suddenly ,I saw many people stopped and looking along the road. I wondered why many people stood here. "What happened?" I asked my mom. I use the telescope to see what happened. And I saw something, something very huge, it was a bear! A grizzly bear! "Wow!"I gasped and get out of the car and takes a lot of Photos to thes big brown bear. Then I was saw something unusual, a guy was trying to get Closed to the grizzly bear! Someone shouted, "That guy is crazy!" Then I looking for that guy,now he and brown bear was only a few feet apart! Then the Bear stand
As you can imagine I was contributing my fair share of all the clamor, but after about seven hours it soon became apparent that the effect of energy drinks would wear off. If you could have been there and looked around you would have seen some people reading, other talking amongst themselves; however, I was playing halo on my laptop. About two hours later after just getting into Colorado everything bad you can imagine started happening. I was asleep at this time, but when I heard the loud BOOM!, SNAP!, and HISS, I was instantly awake and wondering what had just happened. At first everyone thought it was just a blow out, but after our youth pastor got out and checked all the tires it soon became clear that there was a much bigger problem at hand. So our youth pastor decided we should call a mechanic and a tow truck, the problem was deciding if we should call...
It was sunny and 85 degrees. It was the life. I soon saw my grandparents and ran to them. We drove back to the resort, and went to our room. It was the biggest room I've ever stayed in. My Mom, Dad, Sister, and I stayed in a room, My cousins and Aunt and Uncle stayed in a room, and my grandparents stayed in a room.
My first day there was amazing because I found out that the next day I would go see ancient Aztec pyramids, so I would definitely need to rest up for the big day. The next day came and I couldn't wait to go see the ancient pyramids. I got there in a big touristy type bus and it was packed to the brim full of people which wasn't very comfortable, however we got through it.When I got there people were trying to sell my family and I weird wooden carvings, but we said no.Then we saw it the ancient pyramids
I would go to Hawaii because I want to be in a peaceful and tropical environment. I’d also go to see a volcano up close. Also to sit under shady palm trees and drink from a cocoanut . I would go to a tropical forest there to see all the different creatures. Then I would try all their different foods.
Years ago my family took a trip to Yellowstone National Park. I chose this common experience for this memory assignment. First, I made a list of all the things I remembered from my trip at Yellowstone. I remembered we traveled in our motorhome and got halfway to our destination and parked on the side of the road and slept there for the night. I remember seeing the famous geyser; Old Faithful, in addition to seeing lots of bison, and bears. I recall one night that we stayed in a campground bears were in the campground and we were being told to stay in our campers. I also remember during the trip my dad would give me all the spare change and I would collect it. I saved the change up to buy souvenirs or candy. I also remember going to a shirt
When we arrived in Texas, we had to drive all the way to Austin in order for us to get to my grandfathers hotel. When we got there and I saw the hotel, I thought to myself that it was the most beautiful hotel in the world. It had color stained windows and when the sun shined through them, you could see a rainbow. The hotel looked like a catholic church with all of the breathtaking colors. My grandfather said that he loved living there because it made him feel rich.
It was a warm sunny day in Tucson, Arizona, day three of our summer vacation. Me, my dad, my step-mom, and my sister had planned a hiking trip to Sabino Canyon. My dad and step-mom loved the outdoors and were very experienced with hiking, but however, my step-mom has horrendous Rheumatoid arthritis. Unlike me, my sister kept to herself and is not very fond of hikes nor is she big into nature. Once we got there, I unloaded my backpack out of the car and the rest of my family did the same. Our planned destination were the Seven Falls which was originally planned to only be about a four mile hike all around trip. However, we shorty figured out it was eight miles in total, but we were up for the challenge.
Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on. My family and I were able to go to many fun places. We ate so many exotic and delicious foods as well. Yet most importantly, I spent time with my family and their friends. It was the day when my family and I went to California for our summer vacation.
It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest. As we walk into our hotel, it was like walking into an expensive apartment. With its very own kitchen, washer and dryer, and a patio to top it all
