"Every person who has a reflectively held point of view about basic values and assumptions has a philosophy of education." (Phenix, 1961, 4). In order to be a distinguious teacher, the most important question that I must empower and answer is: As a teacher, what is my philosophy of education. In other words, what is my stance that is conveyed in my ideals, purpose, teaching and decision making. My educational philosophy is a document that will serves as a guide and an inspire me throughout my teaching career. What is the purpose of education? Controversy over the purpose of education is a never ending debate. The philosophy of education is the use of set of values and create a fundamental system to used as the basis for guiding and evaluating educational practices and planning. As a teacher, I believe the purpose of education is to create students who achieve at their highest level and set accountable goals or standards for students. Education basis built on technical concepts creates students being well trained of skills and competencies in school, workplace, or in social. It is viewed an academic process in which students are inspired to learn in ways that make a perpetuate, significant, and positive influence on students ' thoughts, actions, and feelings. Also, excellent teaching is a process that heighten students to a level where learn effectively and meticulously because of the teachers positive attributes they display (Barlett, 2003). My philosophy on excellent teacher is one who positively contributes to the learning environment by providing exceptional energy, taking interest in students, effective lesson planning, set learning objectives, and maintaining classroom order.
