It was the late summer of 1997, Clinton was in office, Tiger had won the Masters Tournament, Harry Potter had just made his first debut, and in my world, my dad was Superman. I was the happiest five year old, loving every second of being daddy’s little girl. We were two peas in a pod, doing everything together, including helping him clean his freshly shot game that he would bring home. Duck feet were my favorite, and despite my moms quick refusal of letting me save them, I took it upon myself to hide them in my room. It was weeks until my mom ever discovered them. Spending so much time with my dad and always trying to keep up with my older brother Teddy, I had little interest in girly things. Playing with dolls and princesses was not my idea of a fun time.
