My Concept of Time

I always thought that time passes too quickly for me to pause, take a step back, and really evaluate and elongate the present that I am living in right now. One day, it’s the beginning of 2013, and the year past by so quickly just before my eyes that it’s suddenly 2014 already. Where has my time gone? Why did it pass by so quickly? In reality, it wasn’t time moving quickly, it was my own fault. I let time go by without even stopping and taking a moment to appreciate the time that I have now. I have a bad habit of thinking in the future and recalling the past that I don’t take a single second to even live in the present. My thoughts are so scrambled up and confused about the concept that I don’t get to fully inhale the true meaning of time.
There are 365 days in a year, 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, and 60 seconds in each minute. This vital element to life is often looked over and is thought of to just pass as we go along our days. It’s not something that we usually stop for to think about and examine. To humans, time is seen as useless and easily brushed off, but many don’t realize that it is a crucial and necessary concept that affects our everyday life and could easily live without us.
Time is defined in the dictionary as “the indefinite continued progress of existence”. Einstein is credited with time being referred to as the fourth dimension when in terms of science. Ever since the first humans lived to now, time has always been an important part to life. We began to classify time and name certain sections of time by the length of how much time it has taken. ...o one thing: time. Time coined the phrases such as be on time, late, and early, that we put on others because that is what we expect from them. If the following requirements can’t be met positively, then our judgement of that individual goes down because of their bad time management. It’s all about time, and sometimes it can’t be controlled.
Our whole lives, from the time we are born until now, has revolved around the concept and thought of time. No matter how much we’d hate to admit it, we truly depend on time. Even if we try to escape time, it will always come back to haunt us. It can’t be stopped; it is the reason why we age and always have the stress of being and turning things in on time. Without it, our society wouldn’t be able to function correctly. Time can’t be thrown or brushed away, it is an extremely important element that humankind can’t live without.
