February 18th, 2010 was the exact day my childhood was ruined I would never be the same person again. Essay about My Childhood - Original Writing

- My childhood was not exactly easy. I grew up in the middle of the mountains in Colorado. We had no running water or electricity, so walking to a pond to get water to cook or take a bath was a necessity. The winters were extremely cold. I can count on two hands how many times I got frostbite, but that isn 't the worst part of my childhood. I grew up in an abusive household. I was lucky that I was mainly only mentally abused, but from time to time, depending on how drunk my dad was, I was physically abused....   [tags: High school, Middle school, Gentlemen's club]

Essay about My Childhood - Original Writing

- Education has been the focus of my childhood since I can ever really remember. I was always intrigued by school and the concept of learning. I specifically recall my late grandmother taking me to the wildlife center as a young child and learning about predation by observing a one eyed bald eagle. I loved to read as a child more than most children. Harry Potter and Nancy Drew consumed my life on the side of the playground in elementary school while others were on the swings. My parents were the backbone of my educational success; they pushed me as hard as possible and never let me skip an optional reading program or science fair project....   [tags: Education, School, Learning, High school]

Essay My Childhood - Original Writing

- Like most people from my generation, my childhood consisted largely of staring mindlessly at moving images on a screen. Television was something I had grown up with. I may not have known how it worked, but I knew it was a device capable of telling stories, both through words, and visuals. Then one day, on my quest to be the first to the screen, I was curious to see how my older brother had beaten me to the punch. Of course, his being there staring at the screen was not the oddity. What was strange was the remote he was grappling with, and the device it was hooked up to....   [tags: Play, Learning, English-language films]

- I was lucky to have my grandparents so close to where I lived when I was growing up. As a kid, I could ride my bike down a few blocks to visit them on summer nights. A Childhood Tale - Original Writing Essay

- A Childhood Tale - Original Writing School life at St. Anne's was a painful experience for me. My teacher was a terrifyingly tall woman with inch long scarlet talons. The facial expressions she usually displayed in my presence implied that her dearest wish was to scratch my eyes out with these weapons. The other students had shunned me after I bit a boy called Ashton for trying to take my toy mouse and the teachers had categorized me as disruptive. After a puzzled time when they kept taking my scissors and patting me on the head I realised I was also thought of as mentally disabled....   [tags: Papers]
