The creation of my lifelong goal began the same day my grandfather realized he was dying. There was no specific career that I had in mind since I was 5 years old when I learned the news that my grandfather had blood cancer. It started out as a cautious medical exam. My grandfather had been feeling ill for the past several weeks so he agreed to see a doctor in an attempt to soothe my grandmother’s worries. What had started as a simple check-up, turned into much more when my grandfather was diagnosed with Leukemia. It changed the entire course of my life, however, at the time, I had no idea. After an arduous few months, my grandfather lost the battle to cancer, an illness that simply could not be defeated. Although it was this incident that convinced me to pursue medicine, I had to think critically about how to turn this dream into something tangible. I involved myself in all things that would help me achieve my goal. From keeping my grades up to participating in medical internships, I made decisions that helped me grow as a person and even narrow down the type of physician that I wanted to become. However, getting good grades was simply a byproduct of really trying to accumulate the knowledge and information that I was presented in school. While others simply study to get and maintain a high GPA, I believe that learning should be its own reward, and a strong understanding of many topics, especially science related, is very important to me. I believe that we all have a purpose on this earth and that everything we go through on the journey there has a reason whether to teach a lesson or set an example. Ever since I was in middle school I dreamed of working in the medical field. I realized nursing was the profession for me when my grandfather became terribly sick with lung cancer during my freshman year of high school. It puzzled me that one of the healthiest and most physically active people I knew could be afflicted by such a damaging disease. After watching my grandfather’s suffering and the pain my entire family felt from his death, I knew I wanted to go into a field to help others that are facing the same challenges. This is when I discovered all of the opportunities that a career in nursing could offer me.

I honestly do see myself as a professional skateboarder because I do work so hard and also because i’m a very motivated person.The kind of work that I would be doing is showing up to lots of contest,demo's so that kids can experience or view what professional skateboarders
In the future, I wish to obtain an occupation in the medical field. I would like to start out by working for a Biology major and working in a premedical field in college where I can use my interest in medicine and my curiosity for knowledge to gain insight that would be needed to become a helpful doctor in the medical field. As I move along in my career, I would like to work my way through the pathway so that I can expand my skills in healing others, such as diagnostic abilities, effectively giving treatment and so on. I want to learn as much as possible so I can fulfill my ultimate dream of helping others that need answers to their medical problems and so that more people can live happily and healthily in the world. I hope to bring happiness to others and allowing people to live comfortably.
All your life growing up, you don 't have to make any big decisions. This all changes senior year when you have to make a decision about what you are going to do with your life after high school. What you choose to do can dictate how you spend your time and money. If you do not make a choice you will not be able to move on towards being a self supporting adult. Decisions are hard to make but essential to keep moving forward.
As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. My lifetime goal is to make a change; more specifically, to make a change as a doctor. This choice was not based off of prestige, and financial status, but more self-satisfaction; the satisfaction of knowing I can make a difference. Choosing Pre-Med as a major will definitely have me working vigorously, but I have tried to involve myself in activities such as dance, medical trips, and community service to prepare me for the competitive field of health care.
Growing up, goals change dramatically. A five-year olds goal is to get the coloring page done. As people go through school, goals obviously change. A freshman’s goal may be to learn the school so he or she doesn’t get lost. Senior’s goals grow to finding where they will spend the next four years or what kind of career they will grow upon. Then, of course goals continue to change as people get older and enter into different stages of life. Nine years back, this what made me join a course in bachelor of marine engineering at MERI, the only institute in India exclusively offering such a course. Idea of venturing in to high sees, braving the storms with only handful of resources and almost completely cut off from out side world made adrenaline pumping in to my veins. All this along with opportunity to get exposure to highly sophisticated systems on board ships, which was fodder for my technical bent of mind seemed perfect for my adventure seeking personality. Through out my career progression I have made such decisions like joining LNG shipping pool of my company and seeking extra professional qualification of eligibility to sail on diesel engine driven as well as turbine driven ships
