As the term comes to an end, I look back on my accomplishments in this class. ENG101A was the toughest and most challenging class I have taken, but I really feel like it has helped me to improve as a writer. I never expected that I would take another English class in my life, let alone go back to college. When I thought of English as a subject, I associated it with reading books or poems about subjects I never cared about or had a desire to write about. I always liked the creative writing sense, but in earlier studies one rarely get to do what one want in career life. I feel that has changed for me in this class. Perhaps it’s been so long since I’ve had a creative outlet to channel thoughts and create something from nothing. I feel that this class has provided me with a boat and compass to navigate the oceans of my college career and develop the skills necessary for me to excel in writing. I thought my writing before this class was satisfactory to my designation and work. I had attended college and worked in past. During this semester, I realized that I have breezed over many parts of the writing process in the past. I believe that since this class has begun, I have found my voice in writing and allowed it to speak clearly on the subjects we were instructed to discuss. My grammar and punctuation rules were rusty I love to use big words and give my readers very detailed descriptions, in hopes that they will be able to picture what I am saying. I also am very attentive to my words and try to use a variety of adjectives so I do not sound repetitive. Writing has always been very natural to me and words just pop into my head when I sit down to write. Unfortunately, this sometimes gives me a tendency to ramble. I like to think I am a credible source in my writing because I always check my facts to be sure that my content is true and
