How would it feel to never be able to experience the wonderful gift of life? About 1.2 million babies are killed every year because of abortions. The topic of abortion is a very disputed issue in this day and age. People see the act of killing a baby as atrocious, while others do not see it is as killing anyone or anything at all. Many people justify abortion by saying that until a certain stage in pregnancy, it is not considered a baby, but if it is not a baby, what is it? There is something inside of the woman. This beautiful and wonderful gift of life that is put in this woman’s body, it’s not just a thing. Slaughtering a child’s life at any stage should be wrong.
Most people do not know the exact term of what an abortion is. Many women just expect to go to the doctor take a pill (if it is an early stage of pregnancy) or have a procedure done to remove the baby, but what is really being done here? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines abortion as the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus. It is almost impossible to find a definition that explains abortion without a noun having to do with death. “We know that it’s killing, but the state permits killing under certain circumstances.”(Sender 1) Dr. Neville Sender, an abortionist, says about his procedures. Isn’t it ironic that there are laws about the consequences of murder, but it simply does not matter when it is a living creature that has not entered the world yet? Where are the consequences there?
