Of the most magnificent natural land sites in Africa, one may agree that The Sterkfontein Caves is the most fascinating. The Sterkfontein Caves, situated in the Cradle of Humankind, represent one of the world 's richest fossil sites, and discoveries there continue to astound the international scientific community. (Maropeng 2010).Tourist attractions including a Lion and Safari park, underground tours, a historical museum, and various restaurants and shops. People and scientist have traveled from far lands all across the world to study and tour these caves, considering they offer a brief history of all mankind. Lead by the first discovery of the Australopithecus fossil cranium in 1936, the Sterkonfontein caves has been donned as the “Cradle of Life”. This is sole because, after this discovery, more remains of the first human species were found. Interestingly enough, there has been proven evidence of early human life settlement from over seven million years ago in the Sterkonfontein Caves. Archeologists have even been able to find tangible proof of the evolution of human life including the early stone ages, iron ages, and modern people. The first modern human remains.
