The US Marines are known to be the most dedicated and committed branch of military in the United states, making them highly popular and loved. Their pride and commitment to one, small, and united family make them stand out from the rest and their dedication is seen as they wake up at the crack of dawn to train with people they consider as close as family, and this gives the marines themselves a greater sense of self. The marine corps will help an individual further on his career by allowing the person to go to college or have colleges on bases. Specially “Officers earn promotion based on time in rank, successful performance in assignments and appropriate education” the Marine corps also have special school to teach warfare and leadership to the commanding officers, so they can be the best in the world. They can study abroad in Rome or in the Marine college which are both great honors for anyone that can enter. the rank also affects the salary a person may be earning; “as a marine corps officer a person may be paid from $35,000 to $200,000 a year depending on rank and also experience within the rank”, the more experience the more the money plus all the benefits that come from being in the marine (Marines pay ranks). The advantages of becoming a Marine, “far exceed a simple list of benefits: those who earn our title are supported by the Marine Corps brotherhood. Tangible benefits include financial resources, family healthcare and insurance, housing and facilities, education, travel, vacation, and recreation” these are the pretty good benefits considering some jobs do not even have benefits for its’ employees (Marines).
