There is still uncertainty surrounding the 'supposed ' moon landing in 1969. The moon landing took place in July 1969, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon. Some theorists argue that the moon landing never actually took place and was all an attempt for the United States to assert their position in the 'space race ' between America and Russia. Research has found that 50% of Britons do not believe that the moon landing ever took place, even though the event was televised internationally.

There are doubts over the authenticity of the moon landing in 1969. Having said this, of people aged 60 and over, only 38% of people believe that the moon landing was faked. This could be used to argue that moon landing probably did happen because, of the people who were alive at the time, 62% believe that the moon landing did actually take place. However, this statistic doesn 't necessarily support the idea that the moon landing actually took place because people were much easier to fool and people were far less skeptical around the time when the moon landing took place. This photo released by NASA shows no stars. There are no clouds on the moon, therefore not only would the clouds be clearly visible, but also much brighter than on earth. This led to many people believing that the moon landing never actually took place. However, NASA responded to this conspiracy by saying that the quality of the photograph washed them out. This response could be true as another very famous picture taken of the earth by a satellite shows a tiny blue dot and that 's it. There were no stars present in this photo and this photo is known to be real, therefore this could prove that the photo taken from the moon is also
