School counseling program goals.
The school counseling program will focus on all students through individual and small group counseling and comprehensive guidance lessons in the career, social-emotional, and academic domains. However, based on the needs assessment, the following achievement and behavior goals will be specifically addressed this year. Activities promoting these goals are found in the small-group, guidance curriculum, and closing-the-gap action plans.
Goal One: By June 2017, third-grade students with three or more discipline referrals from the first quarter will increase their positive behavior by decreasing their referrals by 50 percent, as indicated by student referral form data; guidance lesson perception and outcome data; targeted behavior small groups; weekly behavior charts; and parent nights about building positive child and parent interactions.
Goal Two: By June 2017, fifth-grade students with a below grade level average state math test score will increase their score by 20 points, as indicated by state math test data; response to intervention (RTI) data; math test scores; report ca...

Materials and supplies needed: Books, curriculum, games, toys, supplies for guidance classes and small-groups, a folder for each student to hold their PBIS charts and guidance lesson material, two beanbag chairs, and assorted supplies to meet needs as they arise.
School counselor availability/office organization.
The school counseling office will be open for students/parents/teachers from 7:30am to 3:00pm daily.
Role and responsibility of other staff and volunteers.
The school counseling department assistant will provide clerical, scheduling, and other office applications to support the school counseling program. The attendance assistant clerk will provide reports on attendance. The math teaching assistant will provide targeted supports for identified students under the supervision of the classroom teacher and Sierra Wagner.
