Comparing LeBron James and Michael Jordan is like comparing apples and oranges. It just isn’t a fair comparison. There are too many differences. There are too many variables. There are too many fallacies that are involved in making a fair assessment to determine who the greatest basketball player of all time is.
Michael Jordans talent is so amazing. “Maybe this guy is God disguised”, former Boston Celtic Larry Bird said about Jordans talent. This really shows how people viewed his talent and liked the way he played the game of basketball. Michael Jordans talent is so amazing , he’s so incredible and beyond unreal. He was also selected to be an NBA all-star as he averaged 30 to 40 points per game. While when it came to Michael’s second year in the NBA he broke his foot early in the season and was forced to sit out. While having his year off from the game, he decided to go back to school to finish his final year of college. His 3rd year wasn’t all so great either as the Bulls had another losing season, but they still made it to the playoffs. Michael would also score 63 points to set an NBA playoffs record. As the 1989 season approached the Bulls had plenty of players to help Michael on the court. The Bulls would lose in the second round of the playoffs, though to an eastern powerhouse in the Detroit Pistons. As for the next three seasons, the Bulls would lose to the Pistons in the playoffs. The pistons had a great plan to keep Michael from being a terror on the court by something called the “Jordan Rules.” The Jordan Rules invented by the Pistons meant to rough him up or play him tough. Michael was pushed around by the Pistons because he wasn’t very hefty. While in the 1991 and 92 season the Bulls blew by the league not even the Pistons could stop them as the Bulls would go back to back beating the Suns and the Trail Blazers. While in between the two seasons Michael and many other star NBA players took place in the 1992 Olympics the team later became known as the NBA Dream Team. There was no chance of anyone
Many people who watch or play basketball always argue who is the best of all time, or which basketball player is better than the other. And the most two basketball players that get compared with each other is Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Both of these two players are exciting to watch when they are on the basketball court. Taking a closer look into both of their careers you can see major similarities but you can also see where both of them have their different paths. Even though they both make the basketball world a better place the real question that needs to be answered is who is better.

Kobe Bryant a shooting guard for the LA Lakers and Michael Jordan a shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls, two all-star athletes that are compared more often than not for the similar NBA accomplishments and play styles. Nonetheless personality is different for both players. Michael Jordan led the Bulls three championships from 1991 to 1993 and another three from 1996 to 1998. While Kobe Bryant took the Lakers to a similar title area from 2000 to 2002. However, the two are both great basketball players who have multiple accomplishments on their resume, are also different.. The biggest difference is their personality towards the game itself, because Jordan entered the NBA from college while Bryant came straight from

When people think of basketball and the great players that play today we all think of Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, and I mean lets face it we can name players whom play the game very well till we are blue in the face. All these players that were thinking of and naming have something in common which is none of them can compare to what Michael Jordan has done to the game. Some people say he destroyed the game making it that everything people accomplish is compared to what he has done in his career. Which happens when everyone i...
Michael Jordan was a hard worker from the beginning of his life to today. Jordan grew up in Wilmington, NC, and he developed a very competitive attitude from an early age. His father says he was born with this “competitive problem”, and that the one person he tries to outdo more than anyone else is himself (Michael Jordan Biography). During his high school years, Michael Jordan became more and more interested with the game of basketball, he enjoyed it. On a November Evening in 1978, 50 teenage guys packed into one gymnasium (later named Michael J. Jordan Gymnasium) at Laney High School, excited to get a shot at making their basketball team. Among those guys was 16 year old Michael J. Jordan. Coaches took note of MJ’s Effort more than anything else, because everything else, to them, was mediocre. It was a rare event if as sophomore made the varsity team, and 5’10 Michael was hoping he would be on the roster when he took a look at it the next day. Sadly, he was not on the list. What made the experience even worse, one of his close sophomore buddies, 6’7 Leroy Smith, made the varsity team over Michael. Jordan’s name sat on the JV roster. Though, this was a sad experience for Michael, he quickly got over it, and became a JV star. The summer after his sophomore yea...
Jordan left college in 1984 to play with the Bulls. He finished his first season (1984-1985) as one of the top scorers in the league, with an average of 28.2 points per game. He was also named rookie of the year and made the first of his nine All-Star game appearances. Jordan finished the 1986-1987 season as the second player, after Wilt Chamberlain, to score more than 3000 points in a single season. He led the NBA in scoring for seven consecutive seasons (1987-1993), tying Chamberlain's record, and averaged more than 30 points per game in each season. He also became the Bulls' all-time leading scorer and set numerous scoring records, including most points in a playoff game (63 points against the Boston Celtics in 1986); and highest scoring average for an NBA championship series (41 points per game in the 1993 NBA finals). He led the Chicago Bulls to their first NBA championship title in 1991; with Jordan, the Bulls won again in 1992 and 1993. In addition to his three league Most Valuable Player awards (1988, 1991, 1992), Jordan won the All-Star game MVP award twice (1988, 1996) and a record three-consecutive NBA championship series MVP awards (1991-1993). Jordan was also a member of the United States Olympic basketball team, known as the Dream Team, that captured the gold medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
The advantage that Michael Jordan have is more blocks and steals. But compare to Kobe is also a very tiny little differences. In honor and rewards, Kobe was selected 12 times to All-Defensive Team while Michael Jordan was 9 times. According to Phil Jackson, who coached both players and won the NBA championship and said “No question, Michael was a tougher, more intimidating defender. He could break through virtually any screen and shut down almost any player with his intense, laser-focused style of defense.” Putting it differently, Jordan has the ability to stop anyone scoring and could easily break free from any isolation. In this point, I believe Michael Jordan has won over Kobe Bryant in sense of offensive and
